  1. You can mention it as many times as you like. I hate it with a vengence. Its never getting in Col. That book, some sort of horror story?
  2. Had its day. Not soulful. Pinky & Perky. Col.
  3. Brilliant. Need more of this. No longer interested in what decade it was broken in. Col Leave post open over week-end. Then get poll rolling.
  4. If you've got it on disc, stick it in the post & I'll take care of it for you Anyone got the Margaret Little MP3? I thought it had already been posted to site. But I can't find it. Col.
  5. Just to clarify. What I'm looking for is the nominations for the best records that started to get heard at dos by your average soulie from 2000 onward. Because a tape or acetate existed before 2000 & was heard by half a dozen people shouldn't stop that record from going into the poll. Col.
  6. Blimey, joined at the hip
  7. Come on guys we need a few more mp3s stuck up. I do appreciate some tracks are not in the public domain, so lets just post whats available. I'd like to see what your average soulies favourite tune is from the past 5 years. col.
  8. Just had my mate, Simpon (Rids) on the phone. He can't post as he has some computer phobia. But his nominations were: Ben E King - Getting To Me Danny Cobus - And the 2 of us. I've never heard of Danny Cobus, I hope he's not pulling my leg Col.
  9. Cheers mate, that made me laugh. Better be careful though, we are going seriously off topic Col.
  10. Half way through the decade & I'd be interested to know the best new rare soul discovery 2000-2005. Appreciate it if peoplw could stick in nominations AND sound files. Plan is get to 10 nominations then organise a poll. My favourite is Stormy Winters - Life Saver, but as luck would have it dont have an mp3 to stick up. Can anybody oblige? So I'm going to put up Mill Evans - Aint You Glad, which was I think a new release for Kent 2001 (6Ts anniv single) Col.
  11. Mate of yours, is he? col.
  12. Me too........nor can I............agreed. Col
  13. Winding down a bit, so Hot House - Don't Come To Stay Shirley Jones - Do You Get Enough Love? Col.
  14. Loved 'More Than Words Can Say' It has all the ingredients of a N/S tune, but doubt it would ever gain acceptance. Didn't like the other record. Just my opinion. Col.
  15. I think its by Arthur Willis & Soulful Dynamite? Arthur Willis sounds like he might have been a sheet metal worker from Barnsley. Col.
  16. Wouldn't have got past Motown's Quality Control dept Lacking in something (a 4/4beat?) Seriously though a good tune. Col.
  17. Whilst we are on a Jamaican thread have a listen to this.. I have no info on it at all - it just turned up on a cd. I like it. Col.
  18. Quirky & refreshingly different. Col
  19. 32 years thats longer than most life sentences. Just think, if you'd committed a murder you'd be out on parole by now. Col.
  20. Thanks. Going to add it to the list. Col.

Hampshire born & bread. Strong in the arm & thick in the head. Useless Anita Baker story: My wife booked tickets for Anita Baker on my credit card. When her mate dropped out she dragged me along. I got my own back by falling asleep in the concert. That showed her. Col
