  1. Happy to report that the official public launch of the new Salatio range of shoes will take place at our Soul in the Bowl night Rushden Northants on 12th Jan . 2013 (details of this night in events talk) . Although some have already purchased theirs, this is the first time they will be on public display. There will be samples of all colours and as Midlands agent for Salatio Shoes I have secured a 10% discount for anyone purchasing or ordering on the night. If anyone wants to purchase now and ensure their choice of size colour is there to be collected on the night take a look at the website and pm me . I will ensure if they are instock, they are there on the night so you can pick them up and still qualify for 10% https://www.solatio.co.uk/hello-world/ All the best Jem
  2. He did make me some nice bespoke panels for my race car though ...sorry off topic
  3. Was this more of a Mod tune ? like it a lot, but not one i remember hearing much on the Northern scene but then i dint really get into it till late 70s
  4. But did any of them have female part time or other backing singers
  5. And another one for the "dancers" not neccessarily the collectors
  6. Fantastic LOVE IT!! played to a full dance floor at a packed allnighter with all the claps in time ...back in the day ...my youth and proud of it .
  7. Love Instrumentals always have..wether fashionable or not, I personally think in some cases the backing track sometimes carries a poor vocal either way essential part of any record personally. I prefer the instrumental of Betty Boo and Ronnie Mcneir Sitting in my class the latter I think is just to cute! both have great Detroit arrangements though a pleasure to listen to in their own right. On topic "Used to be cool" distinctly rememember this being a monster tune in its day, still have a tape i recorded at Wirrina Allnighter circa 1978 with people (including me) chanting ESPERANTO! when the record pauses two thirds the way through I played it as end record at last Soul in Bowl...cleared the floor ah well you gotta try, havent given up gonna try Harry Betts, Fantastic Plastic Machine next time.........Cheese is the new cooool !
  8. Many thanks to all those that made an offer . The highest was £160. and was sold for that. Thanks again Jem
  9. Agree dont think there was a female backing singer but then i wasnt there always thought was all male group
  10. Hi wouldnt normally do this but I know very little about this record, bought a small collection and this was in it. If you interested just pm me with offer...no catch! best offer buys it but as always only offer what you want to pay. Record is in vg++ condition clean labels, the clip is not from my record and sorry about clip sound quality . The record itself plays loud and clear. Thanks for taking a look ...Jem

  16. As you know Steve it was a Rushden tradition that i carried on at the Pembo was played as the last record at the 'Rock Foundation' Rushden Northants . Promoters John Warren and Andy Luck were Mecca Fans and played it as a tribute .I played it as a tribute to them. Funnily enough had it on in the car the other day my son said it sounded like 'supermarket' music
