  1. I think the sleeve used some poetic license.
  2. No Ann didn't do I Got To Have You at Cleethorpes, it was considered too funky for the crowd at the time. It's meant to be the forerunner of One Way Street that came out on Ric Tic, heavily overdubbed. There's also a basic version of One Way Street on one of the CDs. The LP was of course fictitious (until Timmion released it). It's extremely doubtful that Dave would have raised enough money to issue an LP, he struggled hard enough to get 45s out.
  3. Don't think so, it was written about Dave Hamilton according to Ann.
  4. Soz, I was away for a day. It was the issue which'll look prettier in the booklet. Thanks to all, Dave sorted me Ady
  5. You'll be getting a CBE for services to black music soon Paul. Thanks very much Ady
  6. Can anyone send me a scan of the flip of the issue please? It's 'The Real Thing'. Ady
  7. Thanks, not gonna be a cheapy then. I had no idea that was the real title. If anyone's got a better scan I'd like to see it please. Ady
  8. I spouted my bit for them and I've recommended a couple of our fine, considerably younger dancers to the producer who's a very decent lady; hopefully it'll come out decent in the end.
  9. That's the one, their OC Tolbert looks good too.
  10. Thanks Bob, I must have missed it, I searched on Friday for it and today and couldn't find it.
  11. The Kent vinyl 45 is the only single, it's on a Finnish Timmion label LP now too
  12. Is You've Got the Power La Louisianne 8079 a cheapy?
  13. Dave's possessions ended up scattered all over the place, I've ended up with a few bits by accident. I can't remember what happened to his other papers.
  14. I Can't Work And Watch You/Tough Competition need a loan of the record for Kent Harris please. CDs in return but would need VG+ condition. Ta Ady
  15. Very sad news. 'Sweetest One' was Pied Piper's biggest commercial success.
  16. What a brilliant dancer, she's so relaxed about it, like she doesn't know or care how good she is. Obviously enjoying herself immensely; ten outta ten..
  17. Thanks and cheers for supplying me with the equally hard 118, I like a little Elton John at times!
  18. Still after this people. I got the later 118 release but need Work It Out / Children Of Georgia please. Ady
  19. Thanks Bob, and it's very much a Romark styled label, same colour too. It's the only release I know of on the label. Presumably nobody knows anything about the group? Still after hearing or seeing Prentice Moreland on Challenge. Ady
  20. Thanks Bob, that's a lovely record, could you send me MP3s and scans of the Glo-Rae sides if you have time please. Thanks Ady
  21. Not in the year but in the rarity, our Ace colleague Peter Gibbon bought Leroy Taylor and Jimmy Armstrong as new releases on Shrine in 1965. He was probably buying direct well before that too. He's on the forum but far too modest to mention it!
  22. Panic over people; there's nothing to see here
  23. Ty Karim was his wife at one time, Marcene was his sister and lead singer of the Harris Sisters on Capitol and Smash also known as Dimples Harris and half of husband and wife duo Harold & Dimples. It's not an expensive record but I could use a loan of it if it's in good condition. She did two on the label as Marcene and one as Dimples
