Saddened to hear the passing of a true legend on the soul scene .I once described him as the Brian Rae of the south ..saw him first in the oldies room at the top of the world allniters in the 80s with his trademark suit case full of records. Got to know him better over the years and shared the decks at soul on wax ...rip. Jerry Hipkiss you will be sorely missed and forever be treasured, thoughts are with his family & friends at this sad time .. huge respect mark

Nuneaton Coop Oldies Allniter - End of an era - 2009-2020 View full article

End of an era time ...I've decided the 70s and 80s all niter in March and the allniter in January this will be the LAST allniters at the coop ...with covid and the unlikeliness that October and December will go ahead this I can't go another year feeling the way I have been for a while and although I'm filled with pride on what I've achieved at the coop it's time to call it a day from today the Allniters at the Nuneaton coop. When covid is over we will return but only as a soul night and will only do til 3am at the very latest and events will be posted when I'm able to ..it's been an amazing journey with many many memorable moments but all good things have to come to an end .. I thank all my djs who have djed for me . the amazing coop staff over the years the security staff my wife Kim and importantly everyone who came to any of my events especially the dancers of which no venue can do without .many have moved on and some sadly have passed away... I won't forget any of you and truly thank you for attending my venue over the years. Stay safe and see you in the future wherever It may be.. Ktf Mark Freeman Promotor Nuneaton coop -
Nuneaton Coop Allniter - Important annoucement - Dec 4th 2021 Well all good things have to come to an end some time and I've decided that this will be the last all-night soul session at my Nuneaton Coop venue til 6am. Although starting in 2006 we had hour first all niter in 2009 with NF Porter live - its been amazing journey for me personally with loads of highs including the Tommy Hunt lockout night , the night the BBC one show recorded the allniter plus many many others but sadly lots of not so nice things which even before lockdown had become too much for me ,making me really miserable, this along with the changing dynamic of todays allniter scene I know its time bow out gracefully . Next year will be my 40th year on the all-niter scene and I've achieved more than I ever imagined and more on a scene I've loved since I was 15. Covid willing - there will a maximum of 4 all-niters in 2021 ending in the last one in December I'd like to thank all the Djs who have dj'ed for me over this time but to everyone who has entered my venue since 2006 .
