  1. ==== got my black issue from mick pipe from leicester for a £5er ,,i had the choice of that or a majestics at the same price,,(only had 5 quid left from me YTS money!!) happy days swapped it last year for a demo as all me other rca's are all demos,,looked odd in the box!! funny thing collecting eh?
  2. ======== i was just thinking the same thing lol
  3. WE all did it every DJ of the era played a Kack UK record.. mine was Zenda Jacks - Earthquake -how bad is that record!
  4. ===== ive been dealing with Richard for many years on and off.. hes much calmer these days and far more approachable than he was in the 90's we had a big bust up a few years back cuz i didnt follow his instructions to the letter ,(i remember the time you HAD to put your order on A4 !!) and fell out over the fone but i kept ordering via a mate..thinking he wouldnt know.. but last year i spoke to him and we made up and he told me that he knew that id been ordering all along and we had a laugh about it.. had some great stuff from him over the years and hes very reasonable on a lot of items.. regards mark
  5. ===== yes have to agree even i wouldnt buy this (and thats saying something) only asked for it as i thought it was a record i was after that was covered up as peggy march from around the same time.. but thanks for the soundfile anyway.. regards mark
  6. === thanks alot craig
  7. youre probably right daz and i cant argue as i didnt go early enough to have a full on reply but for me Russ seems to have played anything that would pack a floor. but from the books/playlists ive read and tapes ive got of all of the above guys they all played their part pat brady played some fantastic stuff at that time,,I always got the feeling gary was ahead of his time during this period and richards plays in this period still stand up today.. i once asked russ what he did to compete with Richard when he had all his exclusives from 79- 81 and his reply was that he had his own big sounds and was filling the floor with them..as richard was with his.. as far as i can see wigan had something for everyone ,its a shame i didnt get there a bit earlier but if i did im sure i wouldnt have been as passionate as i am about the sounds from wigan.today i could talk about this all day long but gotta go for now til later .
  8. can anyone post one up of these if possible? thanks in anticipation mark
  9. ==== yes russ is my favourite wigan dj,,, he also played checkmates - kissing her and crying for you in 79,,i always thought that was 100 club 45... he also played boy by the moments which is fetching mega money... he also spun numerous great records in amongst the frantic instrumentals and uk pop stuff... some others ill always be grateful to RW for putting me onto through his spots at wigan gloria & tiaras - im satisfied teen turnbans - we need to be loved master 4 - love from the far east lockettes - i love the boy pallbearers - music with soul peggy scott - you got it all cortez greer - very strong on you i could go on and on.. not everyone will agree with me but i dont care... have a great day
