The original (local) release of "Give A Man A Break" is on UPLOOK. The later national release is on ABBOTT. An absolute monster tune on either of the labels ofcourse!

Didn't know that. Can't remember anything about a label called "Overture", but I don't have them here in front of me right now so can't check.

Does anyone know if the fifth volume was issued on CD by Charly? I've got the 4 first volumes on Charly CDs and they've got 14 tracks each. I assume they were just straight CD issues of the LPs (I only have volume 1 on vinyl so can't compare tracklistings).

The JAN 45 has got the same combination of short version / disco version. And I seem to remember that the 12" on JAN has just got the "disco version" (the flipside is a tune by Zebra)

It's "Never Gonna Let You Go" by Jobell And The Orchestra De Salsa. Seems like a different take than on the JAN label 7" though... The released version is faster and has got strings in the background.

It's "We Got A Problem" by Larry Banks on SPRING (#105). Sounds like the same mix/version to me.

It's one of Johnny Guitar Watson's rarest 45s. Seldom comes up for sale.

Isn't it the other way around? Little Richard recorded several tunes written by Eskew Reeder (he also played piano on some LR tracks). I've got it myself and always have it in my DJ box, but haven't played it in probably two years. So by all means bring it if you want to play it.
