  1. Although I've known this for 25years and had handfulls of US issues, it's the first time I've come across a pic sleeve. Looks good to me but when it arrived today I found that the labels were reversed. Has anyone out there got any information on this and were they on general release. Cheers Kev
  2. Party time- The Four Perfections ....So cool! Kev
  3. No dramas here Chrissie. I was incensed when I read the Stevie (blind joke). I don't like prejudice, so felt I had to comment. It obviously wasn't aimed at you. The reason for my first reply was I couldn't understand why, if you don't particularly like Stevie Wonder's contempary pop music and I agree it's not his best you would open it up for debate on a Soul forum when it just doesn't even nearly touch what would normally cross into your world. You've said you don't like his output from the early 70's onwards so why bother opening it up unless you want to be persuaded otherwise that's all. There's no point. Kev
  4. This thread should be locked. There's really no point to it. The innovator Stevie Wonder has produced another record that is not really accessable to the Northern Dance crowd. Big deal! He must be mighty worried about that. Chrissie, why don't you post up some more threads that are positive about things you like and admire etc etc instead of a thread that gives opportunities for people to make bad jokes about a blind man. No-one can seriously doubt the talent of Stevie Wonder. You may not enjoy all of his output but there's a lot to choose from. Keep it sensible. The world is a nice place. Kev
  5. Does that mean you have a spare Jim as the missus is after one. -Elliot/Banks/Clay that is. Kev
  6. Tell you what though it's a right bugger when you get a one-sided Demo! Almost feel cheated.
  7. Whoops-My apologies Mark -I must get my facts straight. I'm a very naughty boy. Now who was it?????? And thank you for not playing the record I didn't ask you for that you didn't have. Chelsea? Mark. We're off to Wembley and we're not frightened of anyone. Premiership Dead Ahead! Kev

  10. I know Mark I read your article 'The Ten Best b sides of all time' in Manifesto. One was 'Go On' Jimmy Mack flip of 'My World is on Fire' Great choice but......I remember asking you to play it not long after at The Ritz..........did you play it.......did you buggery! One good thing though....made me go out and buy my own copy. Kev
  11. Great song 'Special Kind of Love' I have one on President UK. What label is 'The Only Way Is UP' on on 45 Jim? Kev
  12. Thanks Mike I'm not alone in my craziness after all. Kev
  13. Ever since I started collecting I've always flipped over records and played them at home. I was always interested in what was on the other side of records like Alexander Patton, Lee Roye, Patti Austin etc etc.......I just realized that whenever I buy a record that I either know or know but have never owned before I still play the flip side first. It's like a) delaying the pleasure of hearing the side I bought it for, but mostly B) the thought of hearing a song or tune I've never heard before. Are there any other 'flip side first' people out there or am I just plain old crazy. I'd like a second opinion! Regards Kev
