  1. It is spelt Lenny on the one I have from the mid seventies, obvious boot though from the quality, or lack of, in the printing of the label.
  2. "Lenny Curtis - Nothing can help you now" booted in the mid seventies, never had the pace or exposure at the time, wouldn't have thought it sold many copies back then. In fact I have seen more real ones than boots ... I have even seen a boot of it coloured in (by hand) to make it look like a real one
  3. Dave it's probably waiting for you to wire up a couple more monitors so that it can open it all in one go As Russell said it is best to resize images before posting them on the net or emailing them, as they can be huge when they come off a digital camera these days, I always re-size mine to 1000 pixels on the longest edge and aim for 200 - 300kb, that way they are more manageable
  4. A few from the weekend Mallard female Canada Goose Female Black Swan (which we think is flightless and was released at the reservoir)
  5. Lost for words ... shocked to read this sad news, always had a chat and a laugh with Joe whenever I saw him out and about, lovely guy ... My thoughts and condolences to his family and close friends. RIP Joe Martyn
  6. We saw swifts today over the reservoir, pretty high up though ... either that or I was looking through my bins the wrong way
  7. Wagtails are usually pretty tolerant of people, you should be able to get relatively close to them
  8. A pair of Gadwall male & female
  9. That was yesterday Steve ... I worked today ... anyway haven't you just had a 12 month holiday
  10. Top left is a Pied Wagtail, to the right a Buzzard and below it a Sand Martin. The tiny Pied Wagtail had been mobbing the Buzzard ... a real David and Goliath moment being played out over the far shore of the reservoir
  11. A couple more Great Crested Grebe ...
  12. Great Crested Grebes mating, after the male has finished he runs up the female right over her head ...
  13. A Great Crested Grebe swimming ... I need to take a shorter lens with a polarising filter, as they swim around amongst the pike right below the one hide Here is one of the smaller Pike
  14. Heres something we do not want on the reserve, there were two of them Anyone want a nice coat ...
  15. We have had our first Sand Martin on the 8th March
  16. How about a Goldeneye doing it's Rabbit impersonation ... in the pouring rain
  17. The weed dance ... a pair of Great Crested Grebes courting. They grab a piece of weed then present it to each other, they all do it when they are pairing up to mate ... what intrigues me is how did they learn to do it ... fascinating thing the natural world.
  18. Here is a colourful one, a Japanese Green Pheasant ... with a limp, which I am sure he puts on to impress the ladies
  19. About time I posted a crap one ....
  20. Hi Derek, I wouldn't worry too much as other members have posted images that were not their own on this thread. In fact this is the third time this image has been posted on here, Smiffy got in first with post #334
  21. They could be. Lapwing tend to fly in large flocks at times, might be them
  22. Here you go Chris, a Male
  23. A female Stonechat posing a treat
  24. Little Grebe ... or a giant Mallard
