  2. Presume this is Queens, Basford in Stoke-on-Trent......I can't recall any nighters there...when were these?
  3. Whereabouts in Alsager Dave? Sandbach was at The Town Hall (think Pep ran this?) There was also one at Congleton that Beggsy was involved with. Hensford..is this Hednesford?
  4. That would have been the Princess Suite in Longton (used to be Jolleys)

I 've got a Classmen, and pretty sure a copy of the Carltons somewhere. Both in Ex cond. PM me with what you are looking to pay for both if interested. Regards Mace
  6. Sylvia Symms version is loads better imo
  7. I have an issue, which is obviously a proper one.... In deadwax is a handscribed matrix F-45-1392-1 with F-45-1393-1 on flip. Deadwax is approx 16mm wide from edge of label to last groove. Not seen the boots in the flesh, so not sure on deadwax/matrix info. Regards Mace
  8. Muliticoloured label is much rarer than the yellow label...you should get a right good price on this
  9. Did he mention any Jazz Mags...I heard a rumour he had loads in his loft.....
  10. So do I......but steak is much, much better
  11. Just bought a few things from soulwaxusa myself and delivery was very quick indeed, many thanks indeed
  12. More of a legend than a myth mate.. I'd have the best collection going if I didn't spend so much money on food...

  15. Hi Mike, I do know about your new event, had some good feedback about it from Bram. Its on VIK. Expect to pay £100 - £150 nowadays. Regards Mace
  17. Roger Banks had it covered up as 'Play in your own backyard' Great record and certainly a hard one to find..... paid either £500 or £600 for mine a few years back.
  18. Junior Lewis 'Tears on my face' promo is worth around £50 for an Ex copy....maybe a touch more....have seen on lists for £70+, but not so sure it sells for such. The other 2 x 45s by Junior Lewis you have listed are £30/£40 records, but not as easy to sell as 'Tears on my face' Regards Mace

  21. Mace replied to a post in a topic in All About the SOUL
Got a lovely 45 by Carl Spencer called 'Tired of work' (on Southside) ... theres a copy on Manships site for £30 (with a soundclip) Sue and its subsidery labels are indeed quality labels for producing some exceptional releases of this genre....Jimmy Merritt & Jimmy Helms to name a couple.......
  22. Mace replied to a post in a topic in All About the SOUL
No good at soundclips sorry, but stuff like.. The Delcos 'Just ask' Spindletoppers 'Written in your eyes' The Pageants 'Are you ever coming home' Marcells 'Give me back your love' Johnny Maestro 'She's all mine alone' Mckinley Mitchell 'I found an angel' Marv Johnson 'The man who don't believe in love' Don Covay 'See about me' The Darrells 'So tenderly' .........would probably float ya boat no end.
  23. I'll take this if still available. Regards Mace

Only just seen this.....hope you're on the mend Lee. Lee is a really nice guy, (though I once saw him run down some stairs and launch himself off the 3rd step and swing around 180 degrees, 6 feet high off a stair post to kick a pissed up foreign sailor smack in the face after he was hassling some suedehead in a boozer in Liverpool ) Please pass on my best wishes. Mace
