I sold it about an hour ago - and the only other one I've got left is Don't Pretend, I forgot I sold the lot to Swoz the other week to put in that shop he runs, reckons his a big mate of yours so he should see you right
  2. I think we've given this album more than enough publicity on two separate threads now, would anyone object if I closed the topic?
  3. Uptempo traditional 60's Northern Soul and nothing else

Without meaning to sound contrary, beggar the thought, everytime I buy a collection of pressings there's one in there, I've got one now in fact that I've had for a year or so. I used to see loads of Soul Fox records at Brighton record fair for some reason, like 10 copies of He's Alright With Me, Personality Theme etc It's a great record but I couldn't ask more than £6 for it...but then again, I am the ASDA of record dealers so if you buy one Soul Fox, you get the second half price
  5. How come when I needed these nobody had them for sale and as soon as I get a set, they start appearing...bloody typical
  6. All posted in sales section

I've got a tape - in fact it was one of my podcast tapes - 2nd anniversary 1975, Alan Rhodes plays Let Me Do It (he also plays the instrumental of Don't Pretend)
  8. There's 88 albums here, the last dozen or so I just chucked in as freebie/extras. PLEASE READ: I have only graded the vinyl, not the covers. Some covers will be worn, some will be mint. Now about 30% of these lay in storage for ages and got damp mould on the vinyl, this is very annoying but as soon as they are washed with warm water they return to their original condition, I just haven't got the time or patience to do it. I'm selling these as is, I don't want them and I don't want them back! Also, whoever wants them will have to collect, or I'll meet them somewhere. I want £275 for these. All are UK unless stated. 10. Blimey I remember having an issue and a demo at the same time once, I kept that issue for years til I had to flog it - still, went to my best mate, and he's still got it. I'd say the issue is way rarer than the demo.
  11. Pete S replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
Thousands, can you or anyone think of one Soul Fox record that's rare?

  13. No what I mean is, it's impossible to see all lists...
  14. Pete S replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
There's a full explanation about these tracks on the Kent Mirwood cd's sleeve notes. Let Me Do It is actually called I Want To Do Everything For You Baby
  15. How do you know?
  16. I always thought people advertised do's as "Northern Soul & Motown" nights in order to attract normals and handbaggers - middle aged couples who think they are going to hear Jimmy Mack. We had some people like this when I helped Craig with the 44 club, advertised as soul and motown night, loads of girlies turned up and asked when we were going to play any Motown, despite loads having been already played which they didn't know (e.g. Vows, Eddie Holland, Carolyn Crawford)
  17. I've got loads of them but I don't want them. Is anyone around who'd want them at say 5 to 10 quid apiece...I will make a list...all proper 60's stuff, Barbara lewis UK Atlantic, Shirelles Stateside, Elgins VIP, Mandrill, Impressions HMV, Bobby Hebb, Cook E Jarr, Gladys Knight UK bell and so on. Not sure how many, probably 50 or so. Wouldn't split though, all one job lot. If anyones interested I'll post a list up. OR I'LL TRADE FOR SKA/REGGAE 45'S
  18. This is true. What's also true is that I actually did sell it for that price (actually I think I bought it for 125 and sold it for 150) and anyone who doesn't believe me can have access to all my old lists on yahoo groups. About 300 of them. I don't just say these things for effect.
  19. I thought all of them are white - not arguing with you or saying there isn't a red one - but if there is, now that would certainly be worth £300!
  20. Yeah but unfortunately it's worth half that amount Des! Well it is if you get it off me or Mick Smith - I had one off him 18 months back for £125
  21. Des is right about the had drawn label, it's a white label and someone has drawn a sketch of a "cityscape" by hand, I would guess the person who did it was aged about 8 or 9. The actual record, I think, is absolutely brilliant. The bootleg label is white, done by the same person who did Tommy Bush, Dawn, Donna King etc. Not top sound quality.
  22. Pete S replied to a post in a topic in All About the SOUL
    which ones?
  23. See I didn't even know there was a market for 12" disco records! Seriously. If there is, I'll go back and buy the rest - they were all 50p each, old shop stock been in storage for years. cheers
  24. Thanks for your help Glyn problem was, there was a box with about 150 of them, all new/unplayed, but I had no idea what most of them were!
