  1. Just sold it for £20 so actually it's great!
  2. You're joking right? (Did you mean the First Generation record)
  3. When and where?
  4. Because in 99% of cases, I just don't like UK produced ska/reggae. It's the same as the people who don't like UK northern stompers I suppose. There's just that slight polish that's missing from Jamaican recordings which makes them so raw.
  5. Not really - tend to avoid these - no idea about this singer though
  6. If you hold the boot to the light the vinyl looks almost reddy/brown - plus if you put the needle on the record, it's totally silwnt and then you hear the slight hiss of the original come in
  7. I think the first one was four figures...then another leaked out...then it became obvious they were pressed on modern plastic and it was all a scam
  8. Yeah I've seen those but this one actually referred to 'my ebay' messages which they never have before, which is supposed to be the safe place to actually read messages, if you see what I mean
  9. Thats a different song entirely (aka Johnny Dollar)
  10. Christ, why???
  11. On what planet? I advertised a mint one on here last week and the week before, £75 then £60..and didn't sell it
  12. Where are all these people when I sell bootlegs and pressings??? Most I've ever got was £32 for Ann Sexton

  14. Wouldn't let me post up the whole thing, said image was too large, but it was spot on
  15. Not seen this one before - this time they say you have got complaint against you and tell you to go to your messages page, which of course is usually the most secure place to go to, I don't know where it actually leads to but I got a warning as soon as I clicked on it, and to be honest it's the first one I've ever clicked on, just because it said to go to my message page (Links removed)
  16. If anyone would like my Yum Yums and John & The Weirdest bootlegs at £50 each I will bite their hand off.

Someone else above said you do, was just commenting on that comment, if it's incorrect then fine, apologies
  18. Usually at this point John Manship comes in with "I've checked the files and we had 3 copies in the 3 years and they sold for X amount", I'd have been really interested to know if copies of this had passed through your hands John, stock or demo, I really think this is one of the rarer records I've had in a long time
  19. The Evie Sands pressing is green mate. Styrene, stuck on label.

Look, anyone who CHARGES for an autograph is a complete chancer and doesn't deserve to be given the time of day. If however thats part of the £30 or whatever package then it's not quite the same. But if people do have to queue up at Prestatyn to meet the heroes and then PAY for the autograph, then that seriously needs looking at, shame on whoever organises the payment and the artists themselves.
  21. I love it, I bought Soul Sam's dj copy off him (which was an emi with the horrendous Bill Pursell track on the other side) at Newcastle Tiffs...Mark start saving your money, you can buy this one off me in a week or two, I just wanted to be able to say I'd seen it and had a copy.
  22. Yes you can just about here small snippets of the original vocal, my guess is that it will all depend on the A side - they probably needed something to throw on the B side. Wonder what the A side sounds like? Anyway should be here by the end of the week.
  23. I bid £110 on that last year and got outbid!
  24. The Slits did a tremendous version of Man Next Door too
  25. So is this known? Played? Worth anything? This is where I should pay more attention, I have had literally hundreds of 70's records like this, all UK demos, and I just gave them away, I once gave a box of about 400 to the cats protection league in Hastings, my mate used to get them sent to him by the record companies and give them to me, the only one I kept was the Ramones Blitzkreig Bop picture sleeve!
