Paul if you do a search on soul source, I put a photo up of the one I've got, you might have to go through all my postings but it was posted about 3 months ago if thats any help. Failing that I'll send you a photo.
  2. No you're in the majority. We usually get slagged off for saying Stemmons is the better version
  3. I sent one I think didn't I, I haven't found anything else yet sorry, I know I've got them...it's just finding them
  4. You should be spanked for buying them in the first place

  6. Sean, I've got that BBC acetate and I always thought it was a live recording from a session...though thinking about it, maybe it is the same version. (When I say I've got the BBC acetate I mean Graham taped it for me about 14 years ago)

It's from Hullaballoo. She sings it live over the backing track, therefore the backing track must exist as a separate entity, I think it'd make a good instrumental.
  8. I could live in one of your sleeves, salad-dodger
  9. Kings Hall, Stoke, by Kev Roberts...
  10. Wow! Wouldn't mind one of those sleeves!
  11. So anyway, anyone know what I should ask for it? £50? £100? It's a great version.
  12. I think this person sells or is currently selling on Soul Source so maybe they could explain what's going on with Sixtify's record??

I sell it for a tenner and have probably got one for that price if needed
  14. Yeah probably is - but it's weird, I must have had 100 of these but never noticed an A before!

Rod, I've written on here a couple of weeks ago about Keith West's record being my most vivid memory from primary school age...and still, every time I hear it I think of eating breakfast in the kitchen of our council house, listening to the the radio, then setting off for school at 8.30. Our age difference is about 5 or 6 years I think. I love 60's pop and some 70's pop.
  16. Don't like any version I'm afraid. They are all cack.

I think it was Raymond Smith on XI Chains label. Or IX Chains
  18. Petula Clark I think
  19. Is this a demo or what? Never seen one with this printed A before.
  20. As far as I know, and I am happy to be corrected, this is the only known release of The Impressions doing Nothing Can Stop Me.
  21. £70 off me!
  22. Yeah it has I'm afraid mid to late 90's...monster

  24. Remember getting Pamela Beatty in the early days of Ebay along with Rose Brooks for something like $18 the two! Brilliant record...beware though, it came out again as (I think) Pam Batey (not Beatty) on a purple label from L.A., it's a different version.
  25. It was Steve Brookstein's girlfriend I think, a 5 foot nothing white girl...
