Modern Not Modern
Was played at Wigan as well, still have it on tape from mid 1976 at Wigan...great record! See, uptempo 70's with a 4-4 beat is ok...

An Apology To Keith The Tee Shirt Man
Us West Midlanders are constantly getting the piss taken out of our accents. I wouldn't ban anyone for it though. Having read Vic G's original piece, I don't think he was being intentionally nasty at all.

Motown Time Capsule - The 60's
Anyone ever heard of a video called Motown Time Capsule? I picked it up from a boot sale recently, it's a UK release from 1986 on the CIC label. Basically it goes year by year through the 60's with one track representing each year and matches film of that particular year to a song. So with 1960 and Shop Around, you get film of consumer products etc, and it goes through the major and minor events of the decade all set to Motown tracks, plus footage of the artists as well. Can't say I've ever seen this before - has anyone else?

Pyramids - Love It Or Hate It?
I never thought about categorising it - it's just a great record with little of the elements that make me detest modern so much.

Wanted
Amazing isn't it, that's been on my list for 8 months, nobody wants it, so I sell it as part of a job lot for bugger all and then I see 2 requests for it! Great record....he's Johnny out of Frankie & Johnny on Decca

- Spot The Bootleg Competition
Hold up. So if someone rings me up and says can you do so and so on a single and I do it - thats the same as taking all the product from kent, Goldmine and whatever and advertising it on Ebay is it? Enough, I've got a load to do today and can't be bothered arguing.- Spot The Bootleg Competition
Ha fucking ha. Bit different cutting one side of a record unavailable anywhere than copying over 1000 tracks which you can by legitimitely from your local record shop.- Pyramids - Love It Or Hate It?
Yeah I already said that I looked on Jazzman's site and he does say it's a boot and he even says who released it. For boot read 'reissue'.- Pyramids - Love It Or Hate It?
No but he is referring to the other side, not Pyramid- Pyramids - Love It Or Hate It?
How do you know it was from the master tape? If you're talking about the one with the Michigan Move on the other side, it's an out and out bootleg. Worth no more than £15 tops. Besides, why pay £40 for a bootleg (with the labels on the wrong sides) when you can cut yourself one for a few quid or buy one off me- Pyramids - Love It Or Hate It?
I do - it's brilliant - what an intro as well- Spot The Bootleg Competition

On the set of a f*cking horror film by the looks of it- Colin Hudson - Girl You Don't Know Me - Pye
Sorry - don't know it I'm afraid - Mick Smith won't know it either, he only knows the ones I tell him about- Value Please
Stuart, it looks pretty much like you've got a collection of reissues there. And if anyone would consider paying £25 for a Teri De reissue I'd love to meet him to sell him some more of the same.- Mixed Emotions - 'gold Of My Life'
I sold this to Mr Levine for something like £50, which was what he offered. I had to laugh because he could have offered me £5 and still had it off me, and I'd have still made a profit. Terrible racket.- Mp3 Wanted Please
Not even heard of it otherwise I'd have sent it you- Roy Hamilton Could Sing A Tune
I like Jerry Butler as well...there's a tremendous beat ballad by him on Mercury, can't remember what it's called dammit, might be You Walked Into My Life - fantastic sound- 60's Reggae Ska Stuff
Sorry, I know it's a soul forum but a lot people like it or are getting into it.. Going to put these on Ebay this afternoon or tomorrow, don't know if anyone is interested in making an offer for anything, not after mad prices just fair Cheers Pete ALL UK LABELS UNLESS MARKED (JA) THE REGGAE BOYS - THE REGGAE TRAIN - AMALGAMATED 843 VG++ THE RIGHTEOUS FLAMES - RUN TO THE ROCK - HIGH NOTE 052 VG++ GREGORY ISSAC - WHILE THERE IS LIFE - ESCORT 883 VG PRINCE BUSTER - TEN COMMANDMENTS OF MAN - BB 334 EX THE MAYTALS - MONKEY MAN/NIGHT AND DAY - BEVERLYS BLANK (JA) VG DERRICK MORGAN - RETURN OF JACK SLADE - UNITY BLANK VG- BYRON LEE - WALK LIKE A DRAGON - ISLAND 220 M KING STITT & ANDY - HERB MAN - CLANCY BLANK (JA) VG STRANGER COLE - REMEMBER - ESCORT 826 EX LLOYD BREVETT - WAYWARD SKA - SKA BEAT 213 M- LAUREL AITKEN - DON'T BE CRUEL - NU BEAT 040 VG+ DERRICK MORGAN - TOUGHER THAN TOUGH - PYRAMID M THE MELODIANS - YOU DON'T NEED ME - TREASURE ISLE 7006 NOC WOL G D.TONY LEE - PEYTON PLACE/RED GAL RING - UNITY 519 EX PAT KELLEY - IF IT DON'T WORK OUT - GAS 125 VG++ HUGH ROY - FESTIVAL WISE - DYNAMIC 448 VG++ ALTON ELLIS & HUGH ROY - AIN'T THAT LOVING YOU - TREASURE ISLE 7064 EX NORA DEAN - BARBWIRE - TROJAN 7735 EX DESMOND DEKKER - 007 - PYRAMID 6004 EX CHARLIE & THE MELODIANS - CREATION VERSION (LITTLE NUT TREE) - HIGH NOTE 051 M- ROY CAMPBELL - ENGINE ENGINE NO.9 - JOLLY 003 M DESMOND BAKER & CLARENDONIANS - RUDE BOY GONE JAIL - ISLAND 295 VG DENNIS ALCAPONE - THIS A BUTTER - CAMEL 74 NOC EX ROLAND ALPHONSO - 1000 TONS OF MEGATON - GAS 112 EX- BOB ANDY - I'VE GOT TO GO BACK HOME - ISLAND 3040 EX- ANDY & JOEY - YOU'RE WONDERING NOW - R & B 162 EX ROLAND ALPHONSO - LOOKAWAY SKA/KEN BOOTHE - PUPPET - STUDIO 1 2012 EX ROLAND AL & SOUL BROS - DR RING A DING - DOCTOR BIRD NOC WOL G Titles and artist scratched off - plays much better than it looks THE TECHNIQUES - THE REASON WHY I LOVE YOU - TECHNIQUES BLANK (JA) VG+ THE SOUL RHYTHMS - SOUL CALL - JUPITER (JA) G - Spot The Bootleg Competition
