PETE SMITH 28 JENKS ROAD WOMBOURNE WOLVERHAMPTON WV5 0BL 01902 893569 pete.smith@freeuk.com WILLIE & THE HANDJIVES - GOTTA FIND A NEW LOVE - VEEP DEMO EX 75 Nice copy - superb dancer SANDY WYNNS - TOUCH OF VENUS - DOC G+ 75 OK don't be put off buy the grade - this looks rough and has some ring wear on the label but it plays at least VG+, remarkable sound really - only turns up very very rarely on this label - 250/300 in excellent condition. The only time you can really hear any scratches is when it fades out. BEN ATKINS & THE NOMADS - COME ON OVER - YOUNGSTOWN EX 175 What a stomper - vocal sounds a lot like Otis Redding - but that beat...this record wasn't released, it escaped! Now where they've put a drill hole through the label, it's kind of cracked the plastic, it's not a proper crack but a hairline running outwards from the label. Doesn't affect the play whatsoever but I've knocked 50 quid off because of this STELLA JOHNSON - LITTLE GIRL - CONCERTONE VG++ 20 THE SPIDELS - FAT LADY - MINARET DEMO M 25 R &b lovers check this out - great stuff SANDY & THE PEBBLES - HE'S MY KIND OF FELLOW - MERCURY M 30 LITTLE TOMMY - I WALK ON - ABC DEMO VG+ 40 VALERIE & BOBBY CAPERS - WEST 4TH STREET - ATLANTIC EX 15 I've got a job lot of soul records here, mainly northern, they range from Good to Excellent, most around VG, to be honest I can't be bothered to clean up the dirty ones so if anyone wants to buy the lot for 50 quid I'll do free (parcel) post as well...they include INNOVATIONS - HIT SOUND JESSE JOHNSON - TURF PATTI HAMILTON - LOVELITE DYNAMICS - COTILLION DEMO JJ BARNES - RIC TIC AD LIBS - BLUE CAT BROADWAYS - MGM JJ JACKSON - WARNER MCKINLEY MITCHELL - ONE DERFUL LAMP SISTERS - DUKE RAELETTES - TANGERINE BOBBY WILSON - CHAIN ALPHA ZOE - HIT LOTTIE JOE JONES - CAPITOL DARRELL BANKS - GOT THE FEELING - ATCO AL KENT - RIC TIC DEMO TABS - WAND BUNNY SIGLER - PARKWAY ERMA FRANKLIN - SHOUT JOHNNY & JAKE - PHILIPS DEMO BABY WASHINGTON - HEY LONELY - SUE SPRINGERS - WAY OUT DEMO VAN MCCOY - SHARE ROSCOE GORDON - JOMADA JOE SIMON - SS7 DEON JACKSON - CARLA FENWAYS - IMPERIAL DEMO SKIP MAHONEY - ABET UNIFICS - KAPP JIMMY THOMAS - SIRE JOHNNY BARTELL - SOILD STATE (no not that one, the 25 quid one) BILLY STEWART - CHESS ORLONS - CAMEO Remember, these are not mint and a lot are dirty, sold as is, 51 record for 50 pounds LAST OF THE ONE SIDED ACETATES FOR NOW GENE TOONES - WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT - UNPLAYED 25.00 Postage - in the UK £1.50 recorded delivery or £5 special delivery Europe - £1.50 normal airmail, £6 special delivery Elsewhere - £2 normal airmail, £8 special delivery Credit cards welcome - cheque - postal order - cash - I will take paypal only when there's no alternative and there will be a charge sorry Nb there is a 50p surcharge on all CC transactions, I keep the postage as cheap as possible to balance this out
  4. I offered him $900, are you suggesting that it's a steal at that price????
  5. And taken the track listing off it!
  6. I think there may be too many subsections Mike especially on the record/vinyl/sales front, and also I'd just say that personally the reason I post most things in the All About section is because that's the one that most people read and reply to...so for instance if I had something for sale I'd put it in For Aale section but then also put a post elsewhere telling people to go and have a look. Dunno if that makes sense.
  7. A question someone sent to me about a record I have on Ebay...see if you can answer his questions by looking at the advert! Surely it's easier to click on the item than to send the seller a question?? :graywanker: Willie Bobo Dear mayfairmenthol, Is this a single or an album? Is there a printed sleeve? And what is the condition of disc and sleeve? 4701886930 SOUL / NORTHERN - WILLIE BOBO - VERVE 21-Feb-05
  8. Swaps??? I'll give you the Spriguns Of Tolgus lp for them
  9. Myself, I wouldn't touch it, not for serious money anyway - who wants an Australian copy? Nice curiosity and a great record but hard to sell.

It's ZTSP, just to be picky
  11. With great predictabilty I have to say I prefer Alton Ellis's version...
  12. The difference is that when BS&T came out, the records weren't available as imports so you didn't get pre release plays; I remember some of the biggest records at Wigan in 76 were things like Don't Take Away The Music and Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel, Turn The Beat Around, Nine Times...being played a month or so before their UK release...records that if you told someone they used to be monster sounds would probably laugh.
  13. Doubt it very much, it was a sizeable hit single...

    "The Hustle"
  18. Dunno if everyone's seen it yet but WEA have done a superb promo 45 of Cajun Hart - Gotta Find A Way on a very good lookalike UK demo...the B side is a version of Last Minute Miracle by Linda Jones, I hadn't heard it before, don't know if it's unreleased but it's way too fast...slowed down by about 5 revs it much better
  19. Not Chuck Jackson but the Sharon Soul is a different take (His Love Is Amazing), can't remember which LP it's on though
  20. The best music for driving on the motorway is jungle and early drum & bass ....well it is in my car anyway
  21. Yes, chuck that rubbish cd out of the window and listen to Slade instead like wot I do
  22. It's BOB Relf not Bobby Relf, Gash you haggis-munching illiterate

I don't think there are any boots, I think there's an unstamped dark green, a stamped dark green then a totally different shade of green which, whenever I've had it, has always come from the South of the States
