  1. Always preferred this version, more danceable, can't remember ever seeing it on US though

Would love to comment on this track but can't play real audio files, took it off as it takes over the pc!
  3. Obvious reasons??

I can't believe nobody turned this record up before with those names on the label credits...how can it have laid hidden for so long? What's definite though is another copy will turn up on ebay very soon, they only have to see something getting action and someone somewhere will have a copy which they'll put on there. Example, Moments on Hog, never seen one before then two in a month...
  5. Well I've now had 6 people email me with details of this guy hassling them and then being extremely rude when they don't want his overpriced records. If anyone else has any experience with this guy let me know, I'm going to report the c*nt to ebay for illegal selling tactics
  6. Just thought I'd let you know about this arsehole, he advertises northern records with reserves that nobody ever meets, so then he sends private emails offering the records at twice their actual value. "Dear mayfairmenthol,You bid on this 45 but did not make the reserve. I am offering this record for $199.99. This is a good price for this record! Please reply ASAP. Bob,You will save on the postage if you take 2 or more records! It looks like you will save more on the postage if you take the 3 records you bid on!!!!" The records included the Persionettes and The Uptights. I sell the Uptights for £75-£80 so I'm hardly likely to pay £100. Anyway I sent him this perfectly polite reply "Sorry Bob, thanks for the offer but all of those are too expensive for me, as a dealer I have to be able to make a profit and I couldn't on those. thanks anyway though Pete so today I got this reply "Please stop bidding on my records if you can't pay retail! You are just waisting my time! Bob naturally I have replied telling him to shove his records up his arse and I told him I'd make him famous by putting him on my list, and here he is, so could I suggest that everyone be wary about dealing with an idiot like this. His Ebay user name is Count769. (sent to mailing list)

So would I. It's all over the place. Terrible record. Just didn't want to be the first to say it

tHATS THE FIRST TIME i'VE EVER HEARD THIS - WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC SOUND...'proper' Northern Soul the way it should be...it's even got a Mike Terry 'burping' sax in the background. Vocal not brilliant but it's get everything else in there. Right, need a recording without that jingle on it

Have to keep hold of my catch phrases mate - haven't used that one on here yet
  10. Pete S replied to Mak's post in a topic in Look At Your Box
    I haven't heard it but it's shit
  11. Never mind, I just read it properly...
  12. Anyone know what happened?? According to what I just looked at, it's gone from $14,000 to $13!!!! Mtown on Ebay
  13. To do the dubs I have to compile a master cd, thats why the track was still on the computer and thats why it says 'cd' on the title. The actual sound on the discs is equal if not better!

I think I've still got 90% of them I've got a 'keeps' box which has about 175 in, then a shelf with all the spares and stuff with maybe 100? I must have sold at least 200 last year though before I started doing the soul lists properly again, I had about 250 red and white Islands which I whittled down to 20!
  15. For those who wanted to hear it and hear what the sound quality of the dubs I did are...this is still the best recording of it out there as far as I know

If anyone missed them first time round, they are still up on the forum at this location Reggae
  17. Yeah, all mine...I found the link Ady Reggae scans
  18. $900 record!! I already told him it's only worth £125-£150 but if everyone else does he might take a bit of notice
  19. Well I don't know, I just don't like the sound of these kind of records, I think it's the string arrangements - I like the r&b things without strings...
  20. You ought to search for that post I did where I sent up scans of about 50 rare UK reggae pieces - should still be about I think...
  21. Why what is that? I had that, sold it on Ebay about a year ago for f*** all, £12 or something - what am I missing here?
  22. Well the folks I did it for all reckon that the recording of Some Day The Sun Will Shine is the best they've heard - I know Mick played it at the 100 Club off one I did. But I think you're right, it's a total one off.
  23. I've got the Joe White but you realise what's on the other side of it??? It'd kill me...I may have to start cutting my own reggae 45's! Anyway, as for the rest, I sold Skinhead Revolt for some ridiculous price about a year ago, I think I've got the sensations, I'll get back to you ok
