  1. I'll have a go myself then I reckon!
  2. Yes he can plainly be heard on it Gene if you listen closely
  3. MIne's disappeared already
  4. Couple of clues here..
  5. Theres bound to be a stereo cut of that mate, I didn't know you could do it with audacity, I used to use a karaoke program
  6. No don't think so, but I know what you mean. Theres a fantastic version of this by Manic Street Preachers, almost a note for note copy of the original, very impressed.
  7. It did come out, I think it's Carletta or Charletta, not sure if it was a one off or a real record, then a version came out on a bootleg as 'Gwen Owens'. That's all I know about this one I'm afraid
  8. No I was just going to say maybe hold back your copy for a couple of weeks til the list of mine disappears that's all. I don't think mine was too cheap, I bought it off the top UK labels dealer for £25 less than I sold it for. It is undoubtedly a rare record but it's unfortunate that one's already been up for sale this week. (Having said that, I could have sold mine 3 or 4 times over)
  9. Did you want an answer to question 4?
  10. Some stragglers here... CHRIS FARLOWE - OUT OF TIME - IMMEDIATE DEMO! EX 40 This is just so super rare on a demo - never seen one before. All Immediate demos are tough, this one is up there with the toughest. Great record too of course. TONY JACKSON - FORTUNE TELLER - PYE EX 40 Fantastic fuzz guitar/freakbeat version of the classic Benny Spellman track. CHRiSTINE EVANS - SOMEWHERE THERE'S LOVE - PHILIPS EX 15 Nice poppy dancer from 1966 BRIAN HYLAND - THE JOKER WENT WILD - PHILIPS EX 15 One time monster sound that's all I got... pete.smith@freeuk.com if you want anything If anyone was tempted by the Vala Reegan the other day, I've knocked £25 off it so now it's £225, I *might* go a little less cheers Pete
  11. Giant you're sending PM's to the wrong person, he didn't post any youtube clips up, I posted the one of skinheads dancing, not quite sure why thats taking the piss but thats how people dance to reggae.
  12. Rich you are correct in every one of your posts and still, after all this, nobody has explained how or why this came to be played as NORTHERN SOUL.
  13. There's only one way to dance to proper skinhead reggae...
  14. No mate I nearly cut my finger off while trying to cut a pork chop in half sideways while holding it with myleft hand. Hence s*t typing with one hand only LOL
  15. Just thought it was logical that he would have been playing it at a Northern do as he's been reported playing it at Kings Hall I think it was?
  16. Thats correct. Most of us were saying it was good (though not a patch on Double Barrel) but want to know why it's being played at Northern do's when it's out and out reggae. That's all.
  17. Pete S replied to Padiham Pete's post in a topic in Look At Your Box

  19. Pete S replied to Tanktop's post in a topic in All About the SOUL
Having said that - this is the first one of these I've seen, wonder where it came from
  20. Pete S replied to Tanktop's post in a topic in All About the SOUL
Looks nothing like a proper Big Top release - typeface totally wrong, promotional copy in the wrong place - looks like something I'd knock up on the computer but make a better job of
  21. Pete S replied to Tanktop's post in a topic in All About the SOUL
