Because Of My Heart
Bound to be a pitch-changed version of the original mate. Was quite interesting when we started doing them back in 2002 but nowadays?

Prince Buster - Al Capone / One Step Beyond

New Podcast - " Reggae Fireball ! "
That's odd - any more problems, here's a different link https://www.mixcloud.com/mayfairmenthol/reggae-fireball/

Still Have Several Copies Of Each
That's pretty much top whack on Jeff Perry, I'd personally only buy in at up to £12 to sell at £15 or £20 tops, so if you have a lot of them might be worth doing them a little cheaper, just a thought not a criticism, it's not a rare record...great, but not rare

New Podcast - " Reggae Fireball ! "
REGGAE FIREBALL ! Here's The First Reggae Compilation For A While, And I Think It Was Worth Waiting For As I've Used Almost Exclusively New Tracks On This One Including Some Really Rare And Interesting 45's. The Ethiopians "Cut Down" Is A Great Lesser Known Track From Them And Also Included Is It's Fantastic Instrumental Version From King Cannon, "Fireball". I Think The Eric Morris Track Came Out As White Label Only. Lloyd The Matador Does Two Excellent Rocksteady Dj Tunes, As Far As I Know This Is The Only Rare Release On The Uk Sioux Label. "My Word Don Juan" Is Something I Created By Playing "Man Of My Word" And It's Version, "Don Juan" At Exactly The Same Time On The Decks, It Only Falls Apart For A Second Or Two In The Middle Of The Track. Anyway I Think There's Enough Here To Keep The 60's Fans Happy, And For Reasons Known Only To Myself, I Chose To End It With Two 70's Tracks, The Last One Being The 12" Dub Version Of "Blue Beat And Ska" By Matumbi. https://podcast9122525417.podomatic.com/entry/2011-05-20T07_23_45-07_00 PRINCE BUSTER - ALL MY LOVING - FAB / GLEN ADAMS - KING SIZED - COLLINS DOWN BEAT / THE ETHIOPIANS - CUT DOWN - DOCTOR BIRD (?) / LLOYD THA MATADOR - FUGITIVE - SIOUX / ERIC MONTY MORRIS - COMING ON STRONG - BLANK / HOT ROD ALL STARS - SHOCKS OF A DRUGS MAN - TORPEDO / KING STITT - KING OF KINGS - CLANDISC / JACKIE MITTOO - FREAK OUT - COXSONE / PAT KELLY & THE LOVE PEOPLE - MY WORD DON JUAN - DUKE/CAMEL / KING CANNON - FIRE BALL - UNITY / LAUREL AITKEN - RISE AND FALL - J.J. / LEE PERRY - FEEL LIKE JUMPING - C & N / LLOYD THE MATADOR - THE TRAIN (ENGINE 54) - SIOUX / ERROL DUNKLEY - THE CLAMP IS ON - ISLAND / LLOYD YOUNG - HIT ME JACK - MOODISC / PRINCE BUSTER - STIR THE POT - FAB / JOE GIBBS ALLSTARS - FRANCO NERO VERSION 2 - AMALGAMATED / LESTER STERLING - LESTER STERLING '67 - COLLINS DOWN BEAT / JOHNNY LOVER - NEW KENT ROAD - PRESSURE BEAT / THE LEWIS SISTERS - LOVE ON A TWO WAY STREET - TIGER / THE JAMAICANS - HOW CAN I UNLOVE YOU - TROJAN / COUNT MACHUKI - WAR FARE - UNITY / SIR HARRY - SOUND NO.1 - SIR HARRY / THE JAMAICANS - BA BA BOOM - TREASURE ISLE / MAX ROMEO - CHASE THE DEVIL - ISLAND / MATUMBI - BLUE BEAT AND SKA (DUB) - HARVEST

Value Please
Dave, ask Rob Haigh how much I sold him a mint UK demo for last year - well I'll tell you, it was £70. Maximum I'd say is £100. I quite like it. There's also a KIki Dee version but it's taken at a much slower pace and nowhere near as good as this one.

Found In The Basement Vol.5 (New Podcast)
FOUND IN THE BASEMENT VOLUME 5 - I love doing these compilations of rare and obscure 60's tracks. This one is noteable for featuring a previously unreleased Spanish version of Timi Yuro's classic It'll Never Be Over For Me. No excuses for including the Bill Oddie single again, one of the most talked about tracks on all of my podcasts..."is it really HIM"???? *** https://podcast9122525417.podomatic.com/entry/2011-05-19T10_42_37-07_00 TIMI YURO - IT'LL NEVER BE OVER FOR ME (SPANISH) - ACETATE / PETER LEE STERLING - 8.35 ON THE DOT - UK DECCA / THE DENNISONS - YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT LOVE IS - UK DECCA / EMMY LOU - I WANNA KNOW - US LUTE / THE BRAND - ZULU STOMP - UK PICCADILLY / WILBUR WALTON JR - TWENTY FOUR HOURS OF LONELINESS - US 123 / SOFT MACHINE - LOVE MAKES SWEET MUSIC - UK POLYDOR / THE MINDBENDERS - UNCLE JOE THE ICE CREAM MAN - UK FONTANA / THE BEE GEES - SPICKS AND SPECKS - UK POLYDOR / BONNIE - CLOSE YOUR EYES - US WARNER BROS / JAMES GALT - WITH MY BABY - UK PYE / THE WITCHES - SHE'S GOT YOU NOW - US BANG / JULIE ROGERS - WITHOUT YOUR LOVE - UK MERCURY / LESLEY DUNCAN - YOU KISSED ME BOY - UK MERCURY / SIMON & GARFUNKEL - YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE YOUR INTEREST LIES - UK CBS / JOHN DREVARS Expression - THE CLOSER SHE GETS - UK MGM / TIMEBOX - A WOMAN THAT'S WAITING - UK DERAM / BERYL MARSDEN - WHAT'S SHE GOT - UK COLUMBIA / BILL ODDIE - I CAN'T GET THROUGH - UK PARLOPHONE / ED BRUCE - I'M GONNA HAVE A PARTY - US WAND / SONNY CHILDE & TNT - HEARTBREAK - UK POLYDOR / THE SONICS - DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK - US ETIQUETTE / DANA GILLESPIE - YOU JUST GOTTA KNOW MY MIND - UK DECCA / JON - POLLY SUNDAY - UK COLUMBIA.

Drake & The Ensolids - Alteen Demo
Yeah I think you're right and I've undervalued it, had a couple of people ring me yesterday about it as well so I'll probably stick £80 on it and see what happens.
-
Value Please
John would be able to get £150 for Footsee he's that good at it. Nobody is going to tell me that this Paul Anka record is worth more than £40, cos it ain't!

Not Rare But Lovely All The Same
Tell you a smilar one which I don't think I've ever seen - a DJ copy of Jimmy Robins - I Can't Please You on Jerhart
-
King Horror - Ghost Hour
Ghost Hour sounds just like a Laurel Aitken track; is King Horror actually Laurel Aitken anyway? If I had it I'd happily sell it to you but I don't touch UK produced reggae unfortunately.
-
Drake & The Ensolids - Alteen Demo
I dunno mate, I was going by condition, yes it is rare but in this day and age beggars can't be choosy.
-
Not Rare But Lovely All The Same
We all know how common the issue of this is as it was a huge seller, but doesn't it look nice on a white demo? I love this song. I paid $5.49 for it.
-
Drake & The Ensolids - Alteen Demo
I paid £25 Dean and I'd expect it to sell for £50 - £60 in that condition, if it were mint I'd ask £100.
-
Another Disillusioned Seller
It was an Eric label reissue of Lou Ragland - I Travel Alone, listed for £200, and the seller said it was a bargain because he'd seen it for £300 previously
-
Drake & The Ensolids - Alteen Demo
Bit hard to miss I'd have thought! I definitely don't remember ever hearing it before it came out on cd Kev so must have been a later Wigan spin, after I'd jacked it in. But never heard it at a local soul night either.
-
Supremes - Honey Bee
Got a belated release on British though didn't it Dave?
-
Drake & The Ensolids - Alteen Demo
DRAKE & THE ENSOLIDS - PLEASE LEAVE ME - ALTEEN DEMO Bought this off ebay the other week because I'd never seen a demo before - anyone know if it is actually rare, I would presume so due to the fact I'd never seen one! Disc was only VG+ but cleaned up nicely.
-
Does Anyone Know What Happened To Her?
Doubt she made anything else, she was the winner of a competition to make a record with The Supremes I think.
-
Sold A 45 ? Dont Want Your Post Locked?
It's been going on for ages and Mike had to do something about it, good for him.
-
Soul Galore Label
I know they say 45/79 but I'm sure all of those were pressed in 1978 while I was still going to Wigan. I might be wrong...
-
Current Value Please - Eddie Hill - Nothing Sweeter - M-S
You're right Dave, I couldn't sell a mint one for £50 the other month.
-
Soul Galore Label
Yes there was, definitely, should have noticed it was missing from the discography...
-
Soul Galore Label
So anyway....the second Soul Fox label released 45's in 1978 and 79, therefore because of this I'm sure it was unrelated to the original one. I've actually got a name of someone who was said to be behind this series, though I won't say it in public
