  1. I have, first copy I ever got was like that, 100% original (even remember who I got it from, Paul Forrester - Fozza), have had about 10 copies on demo and I think maybe 3 of them were red & white one side, blue on the other.
  2. That's correct Manus, the dance Matt is describing was originally called 'shuffling', no idea when it started to be referred to as 'stomping' but it was definitely after I packed in going to Wigan (78). A stomper is something like Adams Apples.
  3. It can only be done by the moderators. In the case of this topic, I presume it will be pinned until the next label of the week starts up, then this will be unpinned.
  4. It's a 1980's press of 66-67 material - only a tenner I'm afraid
  5. sold a WD and a stock last year, think for 50 and 30, but struggled...
  6. Yes if I saw the word ORIGINAL I might have had a bid as well (if I actually knew the record) - he's out of order
  7. Where's Kev J, by now he'd have usually posted up loads of Columbia unknowns and lesser knowns

If it hasn't got thopse small rough patches on the label then it sounds real to me...
  10. Save yourself 5 grand and buy "Respect" by Otis Redding, same record...
  11. For mint copies of all of those, you're looking at 10 to 20 quid each, the last Grapevine LP used to sell for 25 but all of them are hard to sell nowadays.

  14. Yes, they were quite expensive. The buyer said he was extremely fussy and frequently returned records. Wish he'd mentioned that before hand
  15. No problem. Did't really know where it fitted in the first place.
  16. Well I got the records back and they were mine. Still no idea why they were returned though. The "Clint Eastwood" Pama lp is actually better than I listed it, it's totally mint. Ah well, live and learn.
  17. No like I say - I am not bothered about refunding the money as I could have sold them all a few times over - but FOUR records being wrongly graded, two of which I actually purchased as mint minus...somethings not quite right
  18. Briefly, sold 4 lp's to the same person. One was solid mint, one was mint minus, the other two were vg++. He has emailed me saying he his unhappy at the conditions of ALL of them and wants to return them. Now I am not bothered if he wants to return them, that's up to him, and am happy to refund him, but I think something fishy is going on, the main two records really were superb, the best I've ever seen, and he could not possibly get better copies. Seriously. My fear is that he will have replaced my good copies with his bad copies, and of course as soon as I sign for the package, he can get his money back off paypal. Even worse scenario, I could sign for them, then open it up, and maybe not even those records are enclosed. Is there any way to protect yourself in this situation? If I open them with the postman as a witness maybe?
  19. Quote from John Manship, counterfeit promo with scratched matrix A-23116 SP, counterfeit stock copy pressed from the same plates. And then there's a picture of it, number 375 in his bootleg guide
  20. It's not my 'logic', it's knowledge and experience.
  21. Oh alright Ken, the Pointer Sisters isn't a boot then, because you've got some the same colour. Superb logic.
  22. Sorry but your demo is a 100% definite bootleg, you'll have to trust me on that but it is, I got caught myself a few years ago. RBMans copy is what it should look like.
  23. GET YOUR FEET MOVING Another collection of rare and classic Ska, Rocksteady and Reggae - only a couple of these tracks have ever appeared on any of my previous podcasts so hopefully there'll be some new things for people to enjoy. 24. That's actually cheap for recorded, you must be using lighter materials than me; mine are almost always £1.70, for record, paper sleeve, 3 pieces of card and the mailer. So for me, it's gone up 16p not 40p. The worst is overseas signed for, that has gone up to something like £6.70 !
