  1. I haven't got the concentration span to listen to one side of an LP Jock, I'm serious, I only use music as something in the background to listen to when I'm on the computer and my boredom threshold gets lower every day. I can only listen to various artists compilations as they offer something different with each track, I can still just about listen to most David Bowie albums up to 1978 but I'd be lying to you if I said I could listen to a whole Bobby Womack album.
  2. Thank you! It was just given to me by someone to sell so just needed a starting point really. I doubt if I've ever heard more than 5 tracks by Bobby Womack myself.

I'm not 'lucky' Kev, the seller understood the problem and cancelled the transaction. Nobody gets kicked off Ebay for a first offence of non-paying.

No it was that crappy Ebony Keyes on Pye. The nice seller let me off buying it.

I won a record tonight, I put on a snipe of £32 - well I thought I did, I accidentally put it at £132 and of course I won it. I was only going to sell it for £45. Bit like that time I meant to bid $80 but managed to put $800. Where's that wanker smiley gone.

There's this spaghetti western inspired reggae tune by The Concords called Return Of The Pollock, it's supposed to be Return Of The Polak but they obviously couldn't spell it, I have yet to see a copy which hasn't been changed to return Of The Bollock childish but always makes me laugh

  10. I listed that EP last week for £20 and could honestly have sold 7 or 8 copies.

Well 36 was what I've had - probably only 20 now as I sold anything on a UK label like Night Time and Little Girl.
  12. Anyone know how much I should try and sell this for: BOBBY WOMACK THE COLLECTION: 12 LP set running from 1968's Fly Me To The Moon to 1976's Home Is Where The Heart Is. Comes in a box, obviously, with a nice booklet featuring the original artwork for the albums. https://www.discogs.com/Bobby-Womack-The-Collection/release/940205

Well that was the only one I've ever seen, I suppose if it's got the right number stamped on you'll be ok

Remember that thread about the most scuiffy, ugly records for sale on ebay? Look at the state of this one, looks as if you could catch something off it https://cgi.ebay.com/Northern-Soul-45-Eddie-Curtis-Edbern-692-/370439324391?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item563fe782e7

They did, but I think I've only had one, it was an early Buster tune something Spider & The Fly, but it had a different B side to the released version
  21. Kinnell I didn't say it was the last hour, RUSS's spot is from the last hour, Brian Rae & Dave Evisons were from before that but I think Dave Evison was on just before Russ

Not quite what you're looking for but this is the only corner of my room I'd be happy to show as the rest is a tip, in this tiny room I have: a jukebox a 40" tv a surround sound system including 6 speakers a pc an apple mac 8 dj boxes full of records 3 large bookshelves full of records and cd's a deck, an amp, a tape to tape, and a deck with a built in cd recorder an office chair and an easy chair for when I watch football meanwhile I have a shed with a dozen more dj boxes full of non soul and reggae records which I can't fit into my record room because I have so much electrical crap in here.

  24. 100% positive. Got two different recordings of the same night, both the same. The manager makes a speech (which I edited out). Same one?
  25. https://podcastmachine.com/podcasts/4425/episodes/30926 THE LAST NIGHT AT WIGAN CASINO - END OF AN ERA - 19th SEPTEMBER 1981 ***** Well this is the last live allnighter tape I'm going to put up for a while but believe me this is a listening experience that you'll never forget. Totally different to the fantastic quality tape I put up of the 7th Anniversary, this one is notable for picking up every last bit of the incredible atmosphere of that final allnighter (of course, they opened the doors again for another 'last' allnighter a month later, but this is the real thing). I hadn't listened to this tape for over a decade and I'm not ashamed to say that it reduced me to tears, hearing I'm On My Way for the very last time. I did go to this allnighter but it's not my recording. Anyway, please don't expect crystal clear quality, but do expect to be put through an emotional wringer. ***** Features DJ's Brian Rae, Dave Evison and Russ Winstanley.
