I'm listing a Montclairs issue tomorrow at £70 - standard price now is about £100 - no way is it worth that.

The Inspirations - Love Oh Love - Camel
No, theres "Explosive Rocksteady" which I've actually never had - had loads of copies of "Jackpot Of Hits" - both albums are great. As is The Pioneers, only had that once.

The Inspirations - Love Oh Love - Camel
Think we may have to disagree on the LP, I thought it was f*cking terrible Untouchables were The Inspirations - both groups produced by Lee Perry. Don't think they have any connection to The Kingstonians though.

The Inspirations - Love Oh Love - Camel
Been after this, and it's instrumental version ("My Mob" by The Upsetters) for ages and ages - I got the Upsetters 3 weeks back and lo and behold, the vocal turns up on ebay as a buy it now, £60. Might be a little pricey but well worth it.

Some Help With A Few Songs, Please
Theres 2 shops in Germany who do the Studio One reissues, sorry I forgot their names, but they do them very cheap, I once bought about 30 in one go

Some Help With A Few Songs, Please
Kingston Town is actually by Lord Creator and is on the B side of a Clancy Eccles tune. £10 tops. Queen Of The Minstrels, I did have this on blue UK Coxsone but had to sell it, haven't seen one since but would have thought it would be about £80. Easily available as a Studio One repress though for about a fiver.

It's a weird one that, hardly anyone really knew it and I used to ask 60 to 75 quid for it, last one I had maybe 4 years back, then all of a sudden it went up to 150, and then up again...

Rare Prince Buster Fab 35
Every time I see this record I feel sick knowing I sold mine for £15, and only a few years back too. I had no idea it was rare or indemand at the time. Still, someone paid me £525 for an Owen Gray record last week so it's swings and roundabouts

So We Are All P***ed Off With Paypal-is This The Answer
Don't think thats gonna work for much longer because now that sellers cannot leave negative, the buyer will just leave a negative because of the postage

Can Anyone Identify This Track Please
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've actually got this record, it's in my 'spares' box which is usually reserved for rubbish! I think it's because it had a little edge warp. Thank you Malik, you are a star.

So We Are All P***ed Off With Paypal-is This The Answer
On the subject of Ebay, Paypal and fees, the amount that ebay take off you is just f*cking phenomenal, I sold that Bari Track for £625, out of that it had cost almost £4 to list it (bold, subtitle included) then they took £55.76 as a fee for selling it, and of course paypal charged £21.45, so Ebays cut was £80 it makes me laugh when they came out with the statement that what people wanted was INSERTION FEES reduces, no we didn't, it was final value fees...and then they went and added anohter 3% or something to the final value fees. Is there still no alternative?

Can Anyone Identify This Track Please
As you can see, I identified the dj version, it was actually off a Dandy Livingstone compilation, it was issued as a 7" under his pseudonym Boy Friday it's got to be someone else...anyway I still need to know what the backing track is if possible

Can Anyone Identify This Track Please
OK this one has got me stumped. This is a DJ version of a brilliant rocksteady track, I'd like to know what the DJ version is but more importantly I need to know what the original song is, it might be called Get In The Groove. Daft thing is, I've obviously got the dj record as I recorded it onto my pc but it's crediting it to Dandy Livingstone which is obviously wrong. The track is below anyway, cheers

Yum Yums - Stock Issue

Motown Memories Lp - Bargain?
This is the one that segues each track into the next, an innovation at the time, and it mentions people travelling distances just to hear "Six by Six". Not rare but a great album. The ones that are rare are the three volumes of Motown Memories, I think Dave Godin may have compiled them. Volume 3 is especially scarce.

Review Of New Peanut Duck Single
I just like the fact they suggest that she may have been drunk when she sang it

Review Of New Peanut Duck Single
https://cgi.ebay.com/Marsha-Gee-Peanut-Duck...1QQcmdZViewItem MARSHA GEE PEANUT DUCK PENN45012 Everyone agrees: "Peanut Duck" is simply one of the best songs ever. A fascinating composition featuring raw sound, astonishing LYRICS and, last but not least, a sexy, b-i-z-a-r-r-e performance... A true experience for the senses! Little is known about this number, save for the fact that it was waxed at Philadelphia's Virtue studio at some point in the mid-sixties. There are several opinions concerning the identity of the singer hiding behind the Marsha Gee artistic name (a celebrity?, was she drunk or simply knackered?). Another mystery: how comes that such a powerful number was not originally released? Preserved through an acetate -discovered in the late 70's- it was later included in a few compilations, some of them good, some of them quite horrendous... In any case, here you have the first legit and, hopefully, definitive release of "the duck song". Call it soul, R&B or simply dance music... In a perfect world, such a dance would be taught in schools. "This is an absolute classic: frentic, loosel and above all .... sexy. Was she drunk? Was she a stripper? Man, she could sing. This vinyl cut sounds awesome and richer than ever..." - Shindig Magazine
