The difference between this and Rufus Lumley is that this was issued solely due to Northern demand but Lumley was a new release at the time. Jimmy Robbins came out in the 60's, not in the 70's due to Northern demand.

Er, yes it is actually, it's hard having only records to rely on for income

Because it's hard work selling records nowadays and when it's an expensive one I want the person to be positive before the deal is done, which is why she was sent the mp3 of it, she was able to decide from that recording. To insinuate that I somehow doctored the recording, like she is doing, is slanderous - the usb deck plugs into the computer and I just record it using audacity, no filters, no clean up programs, nothing. The reason I didn't offer her the money back is because there is nothing wrong with the record, I would say the same to you if you bought something off me, if it's damaged or not as described, then yes I will take it back, but if it is exactly as described - then why should I take it back? And another thing thats actually being missed here. £400 for that record is actually a bargain, even if it was in VG minus it would be worth more than that, someone who really wanted the record would have been absolutely delighted getting it for that price.

It's just not worth the stress Paul, honestly.

You've read all the replies and it's pretty obvious who people believe. I never, ever overgrade records, what would the point of that be? Oh just send it back and I'll refund your money IF it's in the same condition that I sent it out in. You've lost any credibility that you ever had though.

It is quite serious though, she's slagging me off to anyone who will listen and sh*t sticks eventually. If I take this record back, I'll make a video of me recording it to mp3 and posting it up, if it sounds exactly the same as the one I sent her (which it will) then it'll be pretty obvious who's lying.

I've just had some Spanish bloke unsubscribe from my list because apparently I ripped him off (first I heard of it and he never complained before) and that he would never buy anything from me anyway (despite buying whatever I'm supposed to have ripped him off with and the fact he's been getting the lists for over 5 years).

So I went to this birthday bash last night and the dj played - off a cd - a vocal version of The Champion by Tommy Hunt apparently called Soul In The Sun. Did I imagine this? Obviously knocked up last year but has anyone got it/heard it?

Yes Donna, come to think of it I have noticed this stipulation at the bottom of all dealers record lists that are sent to me, sent to Soul Source and on their own websites, how stupid of me to forget about this. That's why people are free to "buy" records, play them, record them and then return them for no reason isn't it.
