Why thank you Mark. I await the inevitable abuse.

Well what do you do about the atmosphere that an hour of empty floortime generates? People would walk in, and walk straight out again.

Would just like to add, if you're attending a cutting edge mainly newies venue then yes, original vinyl would be the order of the day, but at the hundreds of local soul nights I can't see why anyone would get upset about it
  4. Pete S replied to a post in a topic in All About the SOUL
Yes I am but we're talking about people enjoying a night out here and if the colour of a label affects peoples ability to enjoy themselves then I think they have a problem and should see someone

Hmm - here's a cheap original, £10 jobbie - shall I empty the floor with this or shall I play a pressing of a top sound and keep everyone dancing. If you answer yes to the first option, you need to get a life and get your head out of your arse and realise that 90% of people go to venues to dance and enjoy themselves and not stare at record labels like some sort of vinyl pervert.
  6. Tami Lynn - top 3, The Tams - No 1, Archie Bell - Here I Go Again - top 10, yeah there's quite a lot, Ghost In My House top 5..

Don't worry you'll get used to Donna, we've all had to
  8. Pete S replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box

Missed one on ebay about a month-6 weeks ago - think I bid 45 dollars, I was second highest bidder. They used to play this a lot at Keele late 80's, thought it was a tailor made first time I heard it
  10. They aren't bootlegs, they are legit jamaican presses. I've seen Roy Roberts on JA Stateside, Levi Jackson on JA Columbia, Betty Lavette on JA Calla, loads of em. They look like boots because the pressing facilities are more primitive. Most are manufactured legally at Dynamic.
  11. I've had a mint demo and a vg++ issue in the last month, both posted in sales on here Gareth, I've still got the issue spare, might not be in good enough nick for you but having said that, I haven't cleaned it so it may be better.
  12. Craig if you can see the matrix or any scratched in number can you let me know, ta
  13. Yeah it's 99% certain to be from the West Indies - I've had it on Jamaican Calla though it was all white and didn't have the design seen here
  14. What I missed most was people selling records on the site for double what they're really worth
  15. Thats a perfectly fair price for a record in that condition, in fact it's morethan it's worth
  16. Think there was a Lonely Girl issue on Ebay last week, thats probably where you saw it.
  17. No, demo - last weeks was a Lewis Sisters issue
  18. It only did that becauseI posted the topic Mace, if I hadn't he'd have had about 3 views so his description did absolutely nothing to promote it really did it?
  19. It's a fake - it's by The Fascinations and was an unissued track
  20. Nah...100% boot - and look at the price
  21. Yes but is it big in Notts, thats what we want to know!
  22. What a bizarre description...as if the fact that something is massive in "Notts" would be tempting? https://cgi.ebay.com/IT-MUST-BE-LOVE-Modern...1QQcmdZViewItem
