  3. Oscar Wright, what a fantastic soul record. Been looking for a copy myself for quite a while, if you get offered 2 let me know Phil. Gorgeous Phil.
  4. The condition is much more important to me. I'm sick of recieving 45's that have faults that were not in the grading. When you have paid top book price for something that is graded M-, but when you get it the label has bubbles/crinkles. That really pisses me off, and should have been noted in the discription. Happened to me last week, from the so called no.1 dealer. Last one I had from him I had to send back, overgraded again. On the paypal fees argument. Most people on here aren't dealers, and they will have probably paid top Dollar for their records. It is natural for them to hope to get their money back when they sell. I certainly do. Phil.
  5. Here you go Phil the strange sound near the end is on all the copies if your wondering this one might be sale https://www.soul-sour...senorita-symbol Many thanks Ted.

  9. Another one reduced, absolute bargain.
  10. This is happening all over the country I'm afraid. Then they'll be saying there's no community spirit, and the kids have nothing to do, and nowhere to go. I presume it's supposed to be about saving money, or is it that the land is valuable? I once enquired about hiring my local community centre. The caretaker nearly passed out when I said that I wanted to run after 10pm. Also the rules and regulations that were required were ludicrous, and all costs were per hour. How people manage to run events in these places, if their councils are anything like mine is beyond me. No wonder they lose money. I wish you well with your crusade. Phil.

Changes - Unreleased tracks from Richard Sealings radio show. -

I did try to use the refosoul feature but it didn't work properly, so I informed Mike and put the tunes up to give people a chance to hear them. Both tracks were played over the airwaves many years ago, and have spoilers running right through them. I would never put a full sound file of an unreleased record up on a public forum. I will try and put them up on refosoul again. Phil.

Blimey! can't edit my post. OK I'll put the sound file in here, but Mike will probably remove it. I'll try refosoul later. No it's not working....

Sorry about that, refosoul clip didn't work.

I think that it's a crying shame that tracks like this are so badly managed. I remember this one being played years ago on Richard Searlings radio show when it was on a Sunday afternoon. I recorded the program, and I have been raving about this, [and a couple of others that were played on the same show] ever since. If one or maybe two DJ's could have had cuts of this for 12 months or so, I think it would have gone massive. I did actually PM you Ady, a long time ago about this very track, but I never got a reply. Very strange that you started to play it at the 100 not long after. Problem is, once it is out there on CD the kudos is lost. Phil.

Can't resist askin ya Phil, how did you know you had heard it? When the CD had finished playing, I looked at the track listing and thought, blimey I didn't even notice that Wade Flemons track. So I played it again, then put the CD in the cupboard for a couple of years. True.

F*king ludicrous!.. A weak record that's dead common (bet the prats who are bidding on this don't even know 'Two of a Kind' - now THERE'S a proper record!) Dave I must agree that the price paid was very nice for the seller. But I must disagree most strongly with your comments regarding musical quality. Jeanette, fookin awesome record, that has suffered from being hammered into submission by overplaying. That's the reason it's been overplayed. It's bloody fabulous, and it makes you want to dance. On the other hand, you could play "Two of a kind" till the cows come home, and not get a reaction. If it was a rare record, Jeanette would be worth thousands. The first time I heard Jeanette, I had to have it. The first time I heard Two of a kind, I didn't even notice. True. Phil.

  20. I may be barking up the wrong tree, Is this a release? I'ts nothing like the demo I've got! please forgive me if this has been covered before.. B Unreleased version, and quite brilliant in my opinion. Except for the backing vocalist clearing his throat during the intro, which is probably why it wasn't released. I've played it out a few times, much better than the released version to me.

All others acquired apart from: Eddie Daye - Lean on me - Dayco 4564 Gladys Knight - If you ever - Soul S-20662 The Gladys Knight is unissued, but is readily available on a poor looking boot with another great unissued track on the flip. Try Ian Clark, or Richard Domar, they both did have copies. Phil.

Where did my post go? did I break a rule or summat????? mods?????
  23. Slight drift from the thread, Has Edwin's version of I can't escape your memory been played anywhere? I think this would have been huge at Station Road, and should be huge now. Sorry I can't put a clip up. It is on the Involved LP. Sorry Brian, but in my humble opinion, not in the same league as the Four Tops version mate. Phil.
