  2. £800, that's what I sold mine for. Tim Brown sold one for £750 the same week. Forget all the ideas of getting one cheap. Demand is high and supply is short = high price. The few that turned up have long gone. Phil.

And the sound quality is crap.
  7. I'm pretty sure John Manship had mine, could be worth a phone call, he may still have it. Best Regards, Phil.
  8. Absolutely right macca, that driving beat ep. I sold mine a while back, complete with juke box title cards. Picture of train on cover, nice item but never played it. Phil.

Sorry to have to say this, but have about the same chance of getting all these records, as you have of winning the lottery. Would love most of them myself, along with hundreds of others. 8-10 grands worth there me thinks. Good luck though. Phil.
  10. That's not the case Ted, all John's auction prices are on his computer. In fact all his transactions are on his data base, and thats how he gets the info for his price guides. If you phone him and ask one of his employees about any auction item, they will tell you, no problem. Best, Phil.

BLOODY HELL I've missed some Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y stuff here. Wish I'd have seen em sooner.
  12. Can anyone tell me why I can't get any of these soundfiles to play. Thanks, Phil.
  13. A big thank you to you all, for info and support, I'll keep you informed. Best Regards, Phil.
  14. Hi Derek, Been after a copy for quite a while, I think it's fantastic. Last one on ebay went for an unbelievable price[£250] I think. Anybody got one for sale? Best, Phil.
  15. You'll be fine, just so long as you don't want a refund. That's when he turns nasty. Phil.
  16. Very interesting, thanks very much. When you say they give you ten days, from when? cos this has been ongoing for quite some time. Phil.
  17. Hi Sian, Good to talk to you. Phil.
  18. Thanks for the advice Dave.
  19. Sorry Don't know your name, but you are absolutely right, he has some fantastic stuff, and he knows most of us can't resist. Thats how he can treat us like shit and get away with it. Phil.
  20. Thanks Christian, Mark and Chalky, I asked Butch last night, and he agreed with Christians value of £500-£700. Been offered one but can't really afford that much. Anyone else interested in it? let me know and I'll put you in touch with the seller, minty anole. Best Regards, Phil.
  21. Just following on from reading Derek's ebay warning, I am having a big problem with a record dealer from the states. Now I was once burned before, by a guy in the uk, who had dodgy feedback, so I always check the feedback before bidding on an item, since then. My problem now is that this guy is a very well known dealer with huge feedback, and all positive. Also, the record in question was listed and didn't make it's reserve. So I contacted him and came to a deal, after the auction ended. No problem, the said 45 duly arrived well packaged, great. On inspecting and playing the record I was less than impressed with his grading, and to be honest no pleasure from litening to it, so poor is the sound quallity. So, I sent the record back the same day, and sent an email explaining why I had sent the record back, and please could I have a refund. To cut a long story short the guy was not happy. Talked to me like I was a piece of s**t, and how dare I call his grading into question. No way is he going to refund me. So I says I'll put his name up on here, and warne you all. Don't care a stuff said he. I'm a top dealer and you won't affect me one jot. So now I'm stuck with a knackered record, and I can't even leave him bad feedback. Is there anyway I can get my money back? I would apreciate any advise you could give. I did pay by paypal. Now this is my main point. The majority of dealers are sound, and get the goods to you no problem. They are all very nice and friendly when you are sending them hundreds of dollars. BUT, if you arn't happy with the goods they suddenly turn very ugly indeed. I've had trouble many times trying to get a refund. So now before I bid I look to see their returns policy. And if they don't do refunds, I don't bid. Oh, you want to know the dodgy dealers name? FRED SHERMAN trades under the name of RED-TOP out of Philadelphia.
  22. ANYONE KNOW THE VALUE OF THIS 45 - RUFUS WOOD - BEFORE 2001 / GHETTOVILLE - ESPANOLA. Thanks in advance. Phil.

Hello Jim, I sold up in 76 and dicovered the goldmine cds late 90s. Can't believe I missed all the best music, that was played, late wigan, stafford, mexborough, blackburn, scotland etc. I was totally oblivious to what was going on. Bugger I'm still playing catch up now, but love it. Best Regards, Phil.
  24. Hello Warren, I understand your problem with the bonnie brisker 45, it took me an age to find a good one. In fact everything on this label seems to be trashed. Mine is for sale by the way, I had it at £120, but would let it go for £100. No less, cos of the condition. Phil.
