What you have to remember is that this record was HUGE in the early 70s when we were oh so young. That was a different age. Many of the records played then sound very twee when heard now. But believe me, when you heard SITS blasted out in a club back then, it sounded bloody awesome. In fact the intro still sounds fantastic. The scene has changed, and we have grown up, and the music has got more soulful and less franetic. Also, there are an awful lot of people collecting there old favourites, who do not go out now, and are totally unaware of the stuff being played today. And when they hear SITS, they hear it as they heard it in the 70s. I was off the scene for twenty years, and when I discovered that it was still going strong, all I wanted to do was hear the old faves again. Now I've bought them all, heard what was played while I was away, and sold them to buy the newer sounds. All the 45s that were in my top twenty wants when I returned, I am not interested in buying now. I'll wager that the person buying SITS does not go out now, but wants to recapture there youth. Thats ok. Because while they are buying oldies, I can have all my faves for myself. Phil.
  2. Hallo Steve, I pm'd you about possible swaps for INSPIRATIONS no answer, does that mean you arn't interested. Phil.
  3. Sorry Mike, But I can't understand the dig at my prices, if you think they are too dear then don't buy them. All Ken has done is put off any potential buyers. We all want to buy cheap 45s, and we all want as much as possible when we sell them. It's human nature, plus I have paid top dollar for them, they are from my colection and not sales. I have edited the w**ker. Sorry but I feel there was no need for Ken to make comments about my prices. Phil.
  4. Thanks Kenneth, I'm so grateful for your helpful comments and witty repartee. Why don't you go and help some other clueless soul sourcer's out, with your masterful knowlage.

I'll have as many copies as you've got for that price mate. Have tried to buy this on ebay many times, goes for £200-£250 every time. Pat Brady wanted £300 for a copy Always thought the record was fantastic, still do. Great dancer. The problem is when you get a record of this quality, everybody wants it, and those that have it don't want to part with it. I may be wrong but I think that the mods are the ones that pay very high prices for this one. Phil.
  7. OH NO Thanks Joan and there's me thinking how lucky I was that you didn't post up any pics of me.

  10. Hi Ted, I'm not a big fan of 70s but I've always thought the Eric Lomax c/u had the x factor that makes a great dancer. I would certainly buy it, and always get's me on the floor when played out. FANTASTIC Best Regards, Phil

Baz, I sold my copy recently for £80. There is another great track on the lp also. The tune is very instant and sounds fantastic, but like all catchy tunes you soon tire of it. You should get in touch with my mate Dave Rivers. As far as I know Dave discovered the track and has been playing an acetate of it for a long time. He also aquired as many copies of the album as he could, and he may still have one for sale. You can reach him at upbeatrecords@hotmail.com Hope that helps, Best Regards, Phil.
  22. Hi Stefan, I have recently sold most of the records on your wants list, but have still got a copy of HAL FRAZIER - AFTER CLOSING TIME - REPRISE demo M- £150 If you are interested. Best Regards, Phil.

A mate of mine had to sell 2 or 3 of his big ticket items to keep his business afloat. In the 80s I think. EDDIE PARKER - I'M GONE was one of them. Adey Pierce bought it, my mate still hasn't got over it. Gingers copy sounds awfull, and must be in very bad shape. Phil.
