  1. I don't agree, I think the youngsters in the you tube clips in London look far cooler. The other kids just look like they are in fancy dress.
  2. It was fashionable in the early 70's, and if you look at video of the later big events like Stafford, Blackburn etc. then you can see most are dressed in the 80's fashions, with a few still hanging on to the past.
  3. It's a free world, and if people want to "dress up" then fair enough. But, I was saddened to see pictures of some youngsters wearing the baggies, vests and circle skirts. I can understand the oldies wanting to relive their youth, but I rather hoped that any youngsters coming to the music would find their own identity. At least the mod revivalists look cool.
  4. That's reasonable Mike, I will know in future. mmmm, I can't get any smileys again.
  5. Sorry Mike, I was just gauging interest and I thought the thread had accomplished that. Also, I didn't want it descending into a who likes funk and who doesn't thread.
  6. OK here we go Part 1. https://soundcloud.com/quinvy/the-burnley-allnighter-28th/s-wuCNf Part 2. https://soundcloud.com/quinvy/the-burnley-allnighter-28th-1/s-nP4fH
  7. As title, looking for these two. Please PM with condition and price. Thanks.
  8. I hate it.......they are very seldom as graded.........and I've been waiting over a month for one to arrive........seller charged $28 for postage, then after a couple of weeks waiting I asked where it was..........he said he had forgotten to post it.

  10. OK thanks to all who have contributed to this thread and the PM's you have sent. I will try one and see if it's popular, then maybe do a few limited CD's for the old "children of the night" that used to support us every month. Thanks again. Phi.
  11. Many thanks for the information Roger.
  12. Yes, I can do it, but it takes a bit of doing. Just thinking I may be better just putting it onto CD.
  13. This side was a big play for Cliff & Stu at the old Burnley Allnighters.
  14. Don't forget, this is old technology. It's a c90 cassette so it's 2x45 minute spots out of 8 hours of music.
  15. I was thinking of trying one of them there podcast thingies, but it sounds like a lot of palarva if no bugger gives a dam or wants to hear it. So I just wanted to gage interest before waisting many hours of my life for nothing. I have in my possession a plastic bag full of cassette tapes of recordings of parts of the old Burnley Allnighters, back when I was running it. Many thanks to Cliff Camfield. The one I was thinking of using is of November 28th 2009, which was one of the best nights we ever had there. Mainly thanks to it also being Mike Cogg's 50th birthday celebration do. If you would actually be interested in listening to it, please say so, and if there's enough interest I'll give it a go. Phil.
  16. I was thinking of trying to do one, but have a few questions. How long [duration] can each pod cast be? Do they download in real time? Any useful advice? Thanks in advance.

  19. I have always prefered the Debbie Curtis version, typical as the Juan Williams seems to have turned up on ebay.
  20. Never knew that.
  21. Yes, Butch and Mick H.
  22. That answers the question, who got the ones that went through ebay then. Fred Krol and John Parker. Just one we don't know about, unless Richard Lewis had the other?
  23. All joking aside, big boy [sorry] the Richard Caiton I have only ever been offered for sale once. And I've never even seen the Debbie Curtis 45 at all, ever.
  24. Blimey that Dave has a big one. Are you a porn star in your spare time Dave?
