Thought I'd seen it somewhere. I guess that's what it's worth then. Many thanks for the info.

What's This Worth - Ty Karim - You Just Don't Know - ?
As title, got a copy of this but not sure what it's worth. Only time I've heard it out was, I think it was John Parker that played it at Burnley when I ran the all nighters? Any ideas? Has to be rare?

Have You A Spare Moment Deep Oo1-Oo2-Oo3
Er, yes mate, see the label scans inpost number 7

Have You A Spare Moment Deep Oo1-Oo2-Oo3
No, I was told previous to owning them that the singer held the note longer on one, I was worried that I would buy the duff one. Obviously that rumour must have come from the duration times printed on the labels. I have listened to both 45's many times, and they sound the same to me.

Sorry didn't scan the flip sides.

Had them both Tony, and have looked at my label scans but unfortunately I can't make out the matrix numbers, sorry.

Combinations What 'cha Gonna Do On Kellmac
Don't be too sure Phil. Big prices on a public auction, combined with a world wide recession..........I never expected to see Esther Grant [3 copies] and Mr Lucky etc. go through eBay, but they have. Like somebody said earlier in another thread, the world wide web has proved that these records aren't as rare as we thought they were. Good luck with your quest, business must be good.

I must appologise then Dylan, because I thought you were having a go at me.

Combinations What 'cha Gonna Do On Kellmac
Quite a few gone through the big auctions in the last couple of years Seb. JM must have done a few. I thought at one time it had turned up.

Combinations What 'cha Gonna Do On Kellmac
That's the biggest pile of rubbish I've ever heard................I normally get accused of only liking rare 45's............you just can't win.

Combinations What 'cha Gonna Do On Kellmac
I remember one night at Lifeline, I was "in the zone" out on the floor when Tim dropped the needle on she's fire. I'd never heard it before so I started to dance to it. After 30 seconds I was regretting my actions, and when I looked round everyone else had sat down..........not wanting to look like a bigger t**t than I already did, I continued until the end. My God I was knackered. True story.

Combinations What 'cha Gonna Do On Kellmac
Just a personal opinion guys.......I know a lot of you on here have very broad tastes, and are genuinely into all genres of soul. I on the other hand I'm not..........I just love northern, but it has to be quality, or have that certain something that makes me want to dance. On the C.O.D's, what I meant to say was, most people buy with their ears and their hearts, not because it's rare. Look how much records like Jimmy Burns and Jackie Beavers go for. Hardly rare records, but always make big money, because they are fantastic. Only a mother could love "she's fire"

Just because it's rare doesn't make it good............if it wasn't for the second high bidder, it would have sold for $3,522.00. It's what's in the groove that counts.

Styrene Burn
What gets me is, the side you bought it for sounds as though the producer was frying bacon and sausages in the studio, next to the mic, yet the flip side [which is inevitably crap] plays mint.

Velvet Hammer On Polydor
My God, they were Walter & The Admerations...........

Velvet Hammer On Polydor
I've always thought that "Happy" on Soozi was a fantastic record. Was this their first recording by any chance?

that made me laugh.................

Youtube And Copyright
That was my point, JM's records are for sale, for profit.
-
Youtube And Copyright
I was questioning the fact that JM's records are for sale, which is surely advertising?

The idea has always been that you have to get off your arse and go and hear the records at an all nighter. That's why it's called the rare soul scene. That's the reason nobody goes out anymore, why bother when you can sit at a pc and listen to almost anything.

Youtube And Copyright
MMMMMM, think I might try it myself then.

Youtube And Copyright
Amazing coincidence this thread, we were just discussing the legalities of John Manship posting up his auction records on You Tube. These records are for sale, so how can that be legal? Think we could all post our sales up on there if that is the case.
