Hello Ritchie, The Chico Lamarr flip,"How about you" & The Penetrations "Sweet, sweet baby" are exactly the same record/recording. So The Penetrations was just another name Leonard Jewell was calling himself. It's definitely him, he had such a distinctive voice. pottsy.

I remember that one, he sent me a list with it on, minimum bid £500. So i called him after a day or so & asked what it was up to, no ones bid he said, so i said i'd go the £500. I called him back an hour or so before the auction closing time & i was the top bidder, then called him at the end & he said butch is having it. Strange auction that was.

What a bargain, ended at US $8,101.00 £4,704.14

Dan i must admit my bottom started twitching a bit when i first saw this one go up on ebay, is it time to unload my copy quick i thought, so as i'd just purchased a record from him it gave me a chance to ask him about the copy he was selling. By the way, i did say to him that i wouldn't be bidding on it before i asked him about it, here's what he said:- Ady, The Magnetics was uncovered by a picker in a basement recently, based on scribblings on a few of the sleeves, I'd say it was probably promo stuff intended for the WJLB DJ xxxxx xxxxxxx, maybe he gave away to someone in the neighborhood or a relative, who know? I didn't notice any distortion or noise when I played it, it seemed like I was the first one to give it a spin! best, xxxxx By the way, that's not him sending me kisses at the end, just thought best to blank out names. I see he's cancelled the 2 bids that took it to the $7000 price, as they had no feedback. One of those no feedback names won the Cairo's the other day, wonder if they got their money. pottsy

I've had more copies of the Cashmeres than the Epsilons. I know i'll take some flack over this, but i think the Epsilons is the rarer of the two.

Does anyone have any info on how many copies of Clara Hardy have been found? A friend of mine was an under bidder on one that sold on ebay, he was several bidders from the top bid, he was then given a buy it now option from the seller. He then replied to the seller saying he would be interested in buying 10 copies, he was told that would be possible. Just wondering if it's going to be a £50 record in the near future
