  1. I wonder if tippi Saunders is in fact Yvonne Vaughn? tippi Saunders does a version of “when you gonna tell her” on trident from 1967 yvonne Vaughn “when you gonna tell her” on dot from 1965 however Yvonne Vaughn’s first 45 is called “ I’m sorry for hurting you” which happens to be the b side of the tippi Saunders 45….cant be a coincidence? Also both singers are/sound white maybe the trident copy was another attempt at success with a change in artist name? thoughts?
  2. Also there is an original 60s release of this song by some guy on a uk Fontana,it’s no where near as good as RH but you may like it?
  3. I’m pleased your treatment has and continues to go well for you mate! I also have only ever had great results from my local nhs (Macclesfield)
  4. No mate, but I’m now regretting not buying it every time I saw it for very cheap money!😳
  5. Sweet collectors😂 love that! Do they collect anything by nestles? I have a rare packet of opel fruits I would let go😂
  6. Yeah looking through popsike through recent years it’s historically 150 quid then a jump to approx 400 then overnight 2k plus!
  7. I’m taken a back mate,I’ve seen this so many times in boxes etc for small amounts, and it never moving out of boxes, had no idea it had any demand anywhere,so I stand corrected! Good info pal👍 jesus I wish I had bought all the slow stuff over the years!
  8. So is this simply a case of fiddling the bids,or are people genuinely wanting to pay this for a £200 record? This has been knocking about for years at 200 quid, maybe 500 quid if it’s stone mint! And to be quite honest what a boring tune! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335582498762?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=SaP_P-FST3K&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=2sZhFfVKSIC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Personally I couldn’t care less about any scribblings on the label,or how nice the vinyl is,when a record is as rare as this, then one has to be forgiving! My thoughts are mainly on the price tag, anyone can price what they like on anything for that matter, but I’m curious is it to show it off and maybe keep the public interest in the record,or does he truly believe it is worth this amount and will achieve it? I don’t think it would be on eBay if someone wanted it at that price? I put the value at the top end of northern soul collecting with the likes of Mello soul, prophets, junior mccants etc…no more than £20k set sale, possibly 30k at auction? what do you people value it at?
  10. My love gets stronger orig 45 plz lee

Maybe frank thought, if I didn’t make any money out of this then no one will😂

Personally I think it’s only worth 150k to him, just because he paid that sum for it,that then doesn’t mean that’s it’s true value,I doubt there is any northern soul or Motown record that would even exceed £20k today, no matter what it is,so to jump right up to 150k is ridiculous! because of it’s over hyped exposure i would go as far as to say it’s devaluing itself?
  13. yes I’m being sarcastic! I wonder if PayPal do this into 3 payments 😂 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/305773715497?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=B_3VX74PT4K&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=2sZhFfVKSIC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  14. So strong contenders so far… TOMMY HUNT (I think it’s him) CHUCK JACKSON BEN E KING
  15. Yeah that’s true, and I don’t doubt that they bunged him a few quid for being in the vid!
  16. Yeah you would think Tommy would have confirmed it is him whom originally recorded it,or why bother being on a video of a song that isn’t you?
  17. This is the band doing a cover version of said song,as you see in the video Tommy hunt appears,I personally think the acetate is Tommy hunt singing, because I don’t believe a band would record, make a video, have Tommy in the video if it wasn’t tommys song! Surely Tommy must know that he recorded the song, and wouldn’t he himself be asking why they want him in the video if it wasn’t him singing?
  18. Where can my baby be pm me if interested in parting with a copy lee
  19. Is the lp a uk release Julian? I suppose it’s possible they would put the 45 in there? But I thought the lp was usa?
  20. Defo Tommy hunt in the video,he must know that it’s him singing, and I doubt you would have Tommy in the vid if it wasn’t him singing the original acetate?
  21. Can’t believe I’ve never heard this before, this is top class northern soul! my first thought was it’s an unreleased Tommy hunt tune,or maybe chuck Jackson? following the YouTube comments led me to the stefan Taylor video, and Tommy hunt is in the vid,so surely the song is Tommy hunt?
  22. Always amazes how rare something like this is,she had a reasonable amount of success, you wonder how this 45 can be as rare as it is! Doesn’t she sound like Kathy Kirby? great little tune this👍
  23. Don’t think it’s the same group on la Cindy ? nice record your auctioning by the way!
  24. Still interested in this….anybody?
