  1. wow! i cant believe these comments, your all very generous, full respect to you all,i knew that comments from soul lovers would be the finest ears to look to for an honest opinion, you guys whom have grown up on northern/rare soul have a particular fine tuned ear, that your probably unaware of yourselves! and its certainly to appreciated with full trust thanks gang,it really does mean everything to me lee
  2. thankyou mach, very nice of you my friend!
  3. northern/rare soul has been in my blood and my passion since i was 15,and we all know that once your in...your in for life! anyway ive had a secondary passion alongside my northern soul life which is songwriting! i also think that northern soul fans have the finest ears and the best taste anyone could wish for. so im gonna ask the most vulgar question...ive recently started uploading songs on youtube,i value your opinions, these videos are just bare bones me and the old guitar,i aint a great singer, and im reasonable on the guitar, but i reckon i can knock out a pretty good tune! so please be honest...i can take it! haha
  4. i wonder what it is that gets you in the premier ship league! it cant be the records cos there are plenty of (lower end djs) whom have far superior records to the so called top dogs! could it be time served...casino..totw..etc or just simply keeping your name in the mix and maybe being a bit of a showman?
  5. actually julian, ive always wondered how the dj payment system works? is anybody able to do a bit of an increment list to show what one would expect.. in fact is there a premiership league and a pub team league? haha for example: butch at the top of the premiership (how much would he get) and mr who cares in the dj pub league (how much would he get) cmon lets knock up a dj league for djs to work up and...fall down?
  6. i reckon 200 quid,it aint had any demand since the 90's as have a lot of the stafford era mid tempo tunes,so a lot of things like c williams can be bought at reasonably low prices! i picked up clarence williams for 80 quid,as well as some even cheaper bits like george freeman down and out!
  7. yeah you dont see it in mono pete, and i much prefer mono lps to stereo, for instance the tempest lp is much better in mono!
  8. hi all im afraid these are to go as a job lot,and pick up only, this box is quite heavy so i imagine the postage being an awful lot! but your choice? i am sk10 this lot comes with the case aswell! all lp's are nice records,no less than vg++ noteable items are the sealed don gardner lp with the reissue 45 inside, the artistics 1st issue in mono (rare and great lp) rufus lumley(tough on mono) check the pics out! £500 the lot, or trades for a couple of nice 60's northern 45's
  9. there was a woman from ealing, she had such a funny feeling, she lay on her back, opened her c***k and p****d all over the ceiling! there ya go! classic!
  10. good poem mace, reminds of a similar feel to...there was a woman from ealing! haha

  12. well said phil, exactly the same for me word for word pal! also chalky, you mention the carlton club,i attended a particular nite when sam ward, frances nero, were playing,i was a young lad and i dont remember to much about it other than wasnt lou ragland on aswell? i wasnt overlly impressed with the artists, probably cos they were singing to a backing tape, but i do remember sam wards big cowboy hat! haha
  13. well said phil, exactly the same for me word for word pal!
  14. haha i really like the tune stormie wynters-lifesaver,but a mate said she sounds likes shes singing your a LIGHTSABER,he has bloody killed it for me! as for recording errors, ive recorded in studios many times, and there is always a error that you pick up on later on..eg..drumstick hitting the side of the snare,a bum bass note,it can be the smallest thing, but once yours ears know its there, you dread it everytime you listen to it!
  15. hi all full working order with all leads x2 stanton t.62 turntables stanton smx 201 mixer wireless sony headphone set £200 will take a reasonable offer on these or a trade for a 60's northern 45? pm for any questions, collection prefered,im sk10 cheshire

  17. fabulous swans is top notch, great find there mate!
  18. no matter what service a seller uses, whether its royal mail,usps..etc or even the ebay global system, ultimately, its the sellers responsibility to get the record into your hands, buying and selling on the internet shouldnt be any different to face to face with each other!
  19. i think we know what we would expect from a northern nite at the cavern..haha
