1962 Love some of these early numbers. Takes up the slack for some of those awful modern tunes! How many Showmen tunes pre 63' I wonder ...? Great thread.

Yeah only other one one I've seen went for about £170. But that was May last year and it wasn't a picture cover. BTW anyone know what year this Roy H ditty is? Early I think 57'?

Not paid for it yet. Could be why I left without it £225.

1962 I think. The Driveller has one. Pained me to leave the last 100 Club without it.- And You Thought Northern Was Expensive
There are Soul Source backing singers?- Is This Ethical
Was thinking more of Rocket situ to be fair. Though there are no shortage of live cd's from wigan, complete with crowd noise etc.- Is This Ethical
Through the decks indeed. You would still have the dj announcing tracks etc so still maybe personal entertainment purposes...- Is This Ethical
Assuming you have permission of course.- James Brown

How many people could that apply to on here I wonder? Me included! I wasn't at an age to care when DG was penning his columns. Though I know people are gauged by their overall contribution. I admire him for coining the phrase. I admire him for forming the UK Tamla Motown Appreciation Society. And I admired him for things like meetings with Berry Gordy that Diana Ross wasn't privy to. A flowery yawn-worthy writer, but a leg end all the same? And Esperanto! What the fcuk's that all about?- The Best 57p I've Ever Spent

Ray was on last night. Superb film, like the bit where his wife discovers he's on heroin and keeps going on at him and says "Ray you've got to stop"! To which he replies "I ain't gotta do a god damn thing"!- Instrumental All Niter
Furry muff. Hats off to you mate, courage of conviction etc. Still wouldn't work tho' there'd be you on yer jack, stepping about at 7am ..- Instrumental All Niter
Not ganging up on you or owt denbo. But it has been argued before that instrumentals, either lack soul. Or are not really soul at all. I've always championed Paradox - Ring the changes as a great northern and indeed soulful instrumental, because of the horns and the beat etc. But I'd question the quality of all instrumentals all night.- Soul Sam Spin
