Last recording via Andy Rix this time at Stafford and the Top of The World. I know Keb is DJing second half, just working out the beginning.

  2. Soultime Promotions and the return to Cleethorpes Winter Gardens, March 20th 1982. Richard Searling, Gary Ruashbrooke, Poke and Pat Brady the 4 Djs over two recordings.

  3. Another tape from Andy Rix and an event I can find nothing about, so if you can shed some light, who, what, where etc I'd be grateful, will have to dig Blues and Soul and Echoes out I think. Anyway it is the Skegness Soul Festival, 25th August 1980. The Djs are Richard Searling, Rob Smith and Dave Raistrick.

I've read the book and when the film was announced I couldn't see how they could faithfully recreate it, as with the people you have talked with the book is a really good read. Much like the film of Where the Crawdads Sing which I saw after reading the book you didn't get a sense of the depth of the people portrayed in the film as you do in the book. With a film I think you either engage with actor playing the part or you don't whereas with a book you get to know the characters more slowly and build up how they look etc in your imagination. A case in point being Tom Cruise cast as Jack Reacher, I have neither read the books or seen the films but my mate being a fan found it hard to accept Cruise as Jack due to a height difference as Reacher was described as 6' 5" and an imposing figure, Cruise being 5' 7".

been following results more than watching the matches

    some shocks, some smile bringing

not a great tournament so far for betting, for me anyway

    Maybe better luck this round...

    Quarterfinal matches

Fluminense (Brazil) vs. Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia)

    Palmeiras (Brazil) vs. Chelsea (England)

Paris Saint-Germain (France) vs. Bayern Munich (Germany)

Real Madrid (Spain) vs. Borussia Dortmund (Germany)

    any forecasts?

I think it’s been poor. I was bored the games I’ve seen. Europeans clearly struggling with the weather. Two hour delays for thunder etc. switched most matches off.

That's old news, guess you didn't read above? I've written to her a couple of times but she doesn't seem interested.

  9. Sorry if already mentioned but I enjoyed Your Friends and Neighbors, a hedge fund manager who is sacked and resorts to robbing his neighbours

Our fear of losing far, far outweighs our ability to win. Or at the very least “ give it a good go”.

Tuchel said he wants to play the PL way then plays a system alien to most of the players, play the way we play and like you said give it a go. Not many teams would keep up with the pace we normally play at. We also have the skill and flair players too.
