Another tape from Andy Rix and an event I can find nothing about, so if you can shed some light, who, what, where etc I'd be grateful, will have to dig Blues and Soul and Echoes out I think. Anyway it is the Skegness Soul Festival, 25th August 1980. The Djs are Richard Searling, Rob Smith and Dave Raistrick.

Much like the film of Where the Crawdads Sing which I saw after reading the book you didn't get a sense of the depth of the people portrayed in the film as you do in the book. With a film I think you either engage with actor playing the part or you don't whereas with a book you get to know the characters more slowly and build up how they look etc in your imagination. A case in point being Tom Cruise cast as Jack Reacher, I have neither read the books or seen the films but my mate being a fan found it hard to accept Cruise as Jack due to a height difference as Reacher was described as 6' 5" and an imposing figure, Cruise being 5' 7".

some shocks, some smile bringing
not a great tournament so far for betting, for me anyway
Maybe better luck this round...
Quarterfinal matches
Fluminense (Brazil) vs. Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia)
Palmeiras (Brazil) vs. Chelsea (England)
Paris Saint-Germain (France) vs. Bayern Munich (Germany)
Real Madrid (Spain) vs. Borussia Dortmund (Germany)
any forecasts?
I think it’s been poor. I was bored the games I’ve seen. Europeans clearly struggling with the weather. Two hour delays for thunder etc. switched most matches off.

Tuchel said he wants to play the PL way then plays a system alien to most of the players, play the way we play and like you said give it a go. Not many teams would keep up with the pace we normally play at. We also have the skill and flair players too.
