KING Northern Soul: Volume Three
It is really good, early stuff/R&B, soul, dancers, something for everyone. Some tracks that have been popular such as Hal Hardy and Freddie Williams and some over looked tracks like the one mentioned earlier from LH and the Memphis Sounds. Well worth buying.

P-vine is taken from the Turbo vinyl as far as I am aware and an attempt to clean it up a bit was made, as you say not much in them.

When I spoke to Ronnie yesterday she did ask for me to ask everyone not to send flowers, just family only flowers. There will be a collection with the proceeds going to the brain injury unit in Goole. Thanks.

That is Gary all over that Maria, he would help anyone and have time for anyone and he loved life. He lived his life with a smile on his face despite the set backs he has had.

Garnet Mimms / As Long As I Have You
The Uk 45 is a live version and no where near as good. You want the French 45 or the US LP.

I've spoken to Piddy. She's devastated as you would expect but she is really grateful for all the messages. I will print these off in time and let her have them all. Piddy is going to let me know the details for the funeral so will pass them all on for those that wish to attend.

Steve Kilgour is around, does still go to Thorne and he is on FB. Think a memorial night is a good idea, maybe not same night as current Thorne?

Gary Welsh R.i.p
He'd usually nursed quite a few by the end of the night. Like Tat's said elsewhere going to miss the grin that never left his face. He was always laughing and joking and taking the p*ss. His taste in music was second to none and as others have said he was a great DJ. An inspiration to many and one who set trends not followed. So so sad and still can't take it in.

I know Gary isn't a member but many will know him. Gary passed away earlier today. That's about all I can say right now but will let you know more as I get it. I'm gutted, known Gary a long time and proud to call him a mate. He will be missed by all who knew him My heart goes out to Piddy and to all his family.

Info Needed On Smokey Robinson Track
I don't have that track on any of the 4 tapes in front of me. Have found it on a cd on a website for sale, looks like a boot cd, but can't listen. I have a couple of dozen CD's of u/r Motown, I'll have a look tomorrow.

Ebay Watchers
Isn't it just the seller who can see how many are watching. I've not seen it on any items I've viewed this afternoon.
-
Ebay Watchers
The number of watchers is only available to the seller isn't it and its not a new option, it's been here sometime but I think you had to select the option? I've always had completed items down the left hand side as well, never used to do an advanced search to get to completed items.

Grooms is a rare record and a tough one to find. It has had spins at lifeline, it's on the Andy Dyson podcast as well on my page.

If anyone sees any artist worth a mention, let me know and I'll sort some sort of article out and at least let everyone on here know.

Over Rated Records
I don't think George Lemons was expected to sell though, they used the studio for more criminal means didn't they. I rarely see anyone say they like it but it rams the floor everywhere it is played. Anyway I like it. Agree about the Barbara Dane though.

nothing more negative or pointless than the likes of you complaining that a topic is pointless Nev. It is simply a knockabout, little thought required topic, something to get involved with if the fancy takes you.
