  1. I remember seeing this for less than a ton, then around £150, inside the last ten years as well. Then when one was sold for I think £400 two or three years ago most were shaking their heads and shouting "fools".
  2. Bout £40 I think.

One I also used to spin late 80's early 90's. Other occasional spins over the years too. As said never really had it's day

There might be the interest for another Lifeline but it's finding the right venue with a decent amount of rooms at the right place and a gap in the calendar.

dunno? Mick's played it recently. I know Andy Killick bought Kitch's copy.

who has the other(s) over there? Thought they was all over here up until this one?I presume it's Honky?
  7. Might have missed it but I've already said it was pressed somewhere between Nov and Dec 1969 according to the Monarch chart.
  8. I'm sure there are two or three tapes of Steve's in the garage from this period. When I get the chance I will dig them out.

  18. Triangle 78874 is a Monarch press is it not and that puts it at somewhere between Nov and Dec 1969 according to the chart?. Although Monarch have MR in a circle stamped too? X denotes the flip.
  19. I don't disagree that this is a fantastic top drawer Northern Soul record, always been one of my favourites. Just the price I have an issue with considering how many copies are out there. Like I said up to the buyer.
  20. Lifeline always has a busy record bar, it helps that it is on a balcony as well and can see and hear everything going off below. See others that aren't in the same room as the dance floor and business looks poor. I can't speak for all venues or sellers though.
  21. I bet there's one a week somewhere? There's one on ebay now. I heard Soul Bowl got at least 800 copies. Sure I read it sold in it's 1000's in the US, sure BobA can add more to this. I wouldn't pay more than £50 bout the same as plenty of othe rqulaity records you don't see as often or been around in such quantity. But if others happy to pay a 3 figure some that's their choice.
  22. Rather than have two topics on the go I've merged them both, all the relevant info then in one topic
  23. Soul Bowl had 100's of copies, it was a big seller in Chicago too wasn't it (BobA?) Why it commands so much for something you see almost all the time on ebay I'll never know.

I guessed you heard that one Ted, at least it'll be up here for all posterity Wouldn't mind a full file myself if anyone can oblige.
  25. repressed in the 70's when Rupe reactivated the label again and re-releasing titles until 1990 when Art Rupe sold the label to Fantasy Records. Quick google will give you plenty of reading. Flat copies the rarer original, bevelled copies the 70's re-press.
