This one and Barbara NcNair You're Gonna Love My Baby probably my fave motown records that saw a release.
  2. I was thinking the same or do you only have to sell three copies to get that high on the charts
  3. agree with you Chris, on the occasions I've been to Willington I've enjoyed it. Thta reminbds me too bout time I caught up with Gilly again!! Goole now Sean, but I will get down to your local sometime in the future
  4. The new venue could well be offering something different from the likes of some of the venues you listed. Most of the venues in the East Midlands don't offer something "different", very rarely straying from the same old oldies. that's why I always travelled to get my fix when I lived in Chesterfield. There's probably only the Attic that would get me to travel back to the east midlands right now. What topic and whose venue are you referring to?
  5. I'm with Pete on this one

Yep I still play this, magic record IMHO. Been fetching over $100 on ebay, one of the last I recall $122.
  7. Don't think you have got it wrong Neil. Pretty sure Tims got the 1st copy, warps an all
  8. Thought Tim's copy is the one Jonathan had???
  9. thought so, went via Martin Koppell and Tim B to Kenny didn't it.
  10. Probably just that, rumours. Wasn't it Ron Murphy who got one of the few from someone who worked at the pressing plant??? Never got past the demo stage and supposedly just 6 pressed which were again supposedly destroyed?
  11. maybe one of those that sells for possible more than it's actually worth rarity wise, often see it listed for ton plus, whether it sells everytime is another thing but I have seen it sell for £150.
  12. not sure Simon, will have to find the cd and check.
  13. surprised to see this at £75 on JM's site, thought it was around half that?? There's one on ebay at $75 buy now and I've seen listed for between £20 and £40.
  14. had a reply the same day Bob, they are investigating They've offered a replacemnet already but the cd looks home made and as unblemished on the playing surface my guess all like this. Dunno what source Herman used to do the cd
  15. very good but it's not a dancer, well it's not uptempo
  16. It looks like a new cd, but only just Bob, Herman C must have gone cheapest way of doing it. Have e-mailed Herman and cdbaby, no reply yet and don't expect one. I did get the new Jimmy Radcliffe one from them and that was fine but wil;l be having second thoughs about using them again.
  17. Darlettes - Lost
  18. Has anyone purchased the Sound Masters Revisited cd? https://cdbaby.com/cd/soundmasters Only 9 tracks but most unreleased so thought why not. Arrived, in the cd player it went but there's at least three tracks on the cd that jump/skip...dunno what source Herman C uswed for it!! Anyone else bought this? If so does it have the same problem?
