June 18th John Manship Auction Prices
The only DJ close enough to Butch who is discovering for himself and discovers for the likes of others, plus has the knowledge and collection of the so called deeper unplayed oldies is Andy Dyson, he's up there with Butch IMHO and streets ahead of DJ's like Sam.

Anybody Got A Sound Clip
it's had a couple of cover up names, Butch used Rita & Tiaras, Andy Dyson used Shalimars.

Record Storage
they aren't the same price in staples, they are 10% cheaper if bought on line and next day delivery. And every Staples I've been in don't have the extra large lids needed for records

New Century Soul Calls It A Day
Hi Chris and Marcelle. We'e already spoken on the phone but again it is a sad day but fully understand your reasons. It's been a pleasure to work with you, DJ for you several times and support you in what you've done. The performances of The Fabulous Peps and Ronnie Walker will stay with me for a very long time. Hope you both enjoy your time now as "punters" and you both know you are more than welcome at Lifeline. See you both in just over a weeks time!!

Record Storage
I had two for singles and one for lps arrive the same day as despatch. Gotta say better than I imagined. These are for home storage so the little bit of play not an issue really, more than happy with them and they can go anywhere.

A Few Old Pictures From The Soul Scene + Chicago, Nyc & Southport
Bloody hell, I remember the Paddocks Club. We drove down and couldn't find it...dumped the car at St Pauls and got a cab there. Went back for car at about 4 in morning and got pulled by police

Soul Police
The Soul Police have a new weapon in their fight against sh*t dj's who will be the first recipient will this become a badge of honour amongst shite dj's like it has the hooligan element of this country

June 18th John Manship Auction Prices
I personally remember Andy Dyson spinning this before Butch but regardless every tom dick and harriet wants it now. whats wrong with the top dj's finding summat else to play rather than everyone hammer one particular track to death as in this case the scene would be far better off and fresher with dj's playing different records, suppose thats a different arguement in a different topic though!

Make A Cd For Newbies
I can understand where you are all comijg from but all I was doing was disagreeing with the statement that the list reflected the different aspects of the scene. You could easilky knock up a cd with say 15 wigan and earlier and 15 from the 80's to nowadays discoveries (60's that is). There's enough wigan type oldies mentioned already so here's 15 from me, all easily available via cyberspace which represent the last 20 years IMHO. Jesse James - Love Is Alright Ann Robinson (not) - World Of Happiness Mello Souls - We Can MAke It Eddie Whitehead - Just Your Fool Johnny Praye - Too Much Love Parliaments - This Is My Rainy Day Eddie Parker - I Need A True Love Inspirations - Treat Myself To A New Love Emory & Dynamics - Lets Take A Look Diane Lewis - You Ain't Got A Chance Stormie Wynters - Lifesaver Ad-Libs - You'll Always Be In Style Tommy Ridgely - My Love Gets Stronger James Lately - Love Friends & Money Saints - I'll Let You Slide

Make A Cd For Newbies
yes they did get me hooked in the first place and I still love them. Don't get me wrong the cd is an excellent list of tracks for someone who doesn't know the scene at all but the original post said the list reflects the different aspects of the soul scene when it doesn't.

Make A Cd For Newbies
I know full well they are not oldies to someone who hasn't heard them but the list isn't a true reflection of the northern soul scene. There's nothing in there that list genuinely reflect the discoveries made in the stafford era, records from this era are very promoinent in many dj's playlists/sets. There's little in the list that reflects the crossover and modern scenes either..
