"baby, Baby, Dont You Do It"
Just dug out some of Rob's tapes, found the one with the Leo Wright cover up on, includes stuff like Vidells, Sandy Golden, Leo Costa acetate, Four Count's Loveland, Explosive Dynamiks, Trannels, Spencer Wiggins Talk It Over, Johnny Taylor Love On A Lease Plan and others. Other tapes have all the other biggies he got from Keb and Jimmy Wensiora, Charmaines, Patti Austin Always Be In Style etc. One record on the tape I can't remember who it is? starts off "I think your the most beautiful girl in the world" goes on to say "I'm beginning to think your anybody's girl" voice sounds a bit like Johnny McCrae (I LIke That Girl), could be t'other side.... Only Butch better than Rob IMHO at one stage.

Quinvys Cheap As Chips
Never seen it on New Sound I don't think, Scorpion (blue and yellow labels) and Mod Art are the only labels I've seen Probably over £50 now on Scorpion, seen around £60/70 but seen the Mod Art release under £50

My Playlist ( If I Were A Dj )
The Falcons is class Lost Soul touch on safe side as does get plenty of spins and Houston Outlaws definately on the safe side and would say verging on the over played. Conquistadors far from safe, hardly hear it played out.

My Playlist ( If I Were A Dj )
If you have the money anyone can put a set together with big ticket indemanders. There are far more better quality records at the cheap end of the scale than the other end IMHO. Dunno why some feel that to get on you have to have a play box worth £1000's and £1000's. There's very little imagination or skill involved in playing big ticket indemander after big ticket indemander. I'd much sooner hear a set with records under say a ton put together with thought, imagination and a bit of skill than someone knocking out expensive (often over priced) big ticket indemanders, many of them shite but get played cause they cost a fortune

The New Sounds Lp
played this out a few times recently, mines on Scorpion though.

Margret Little 45?
heard a while back it was booted but from the states not over here
-
Leroy Barbour-i Ain't Going Nowhere
both excellent records in their own right but I think Leroy just sneaks it for me. Not really heard any DJ get behind either version in a long time which probably explains lack of dance floor interest.

Great Deep Compilations

Just In The Nick Of Time
January I can see many years of pleasure in front of you, plenty of good tunes to spot to keep you busy
-
Just In The Nick Of Time
The flip is called Loneliness Is A Pleasure which is actually the top side and was released twice, once with JITNOT and once with Dear Santa on the flip so beware if you see LIAP listed for sale. LIAP got spins late 70's I think.
