  1. ...like x 2 thanks for sharing Alan! Hot off the press indeed So this is imminent release on Sigher's Super Disco Edits label that keeps drip feeding us treats here and there?
  2. Short clip on their website here... https://m.soulutionsofficial.co.uk/Music-and-Videos.html
  3. Fantastic new 45 out at the end of this week by Nicole Willis & The Soul Investigators "Paint me in a corner" / "Where are you now", both tracks from the imminent new album due this October. Timmion Records do it again! Here's the link to listen and order directly from Timmion. https://www.timmion.com/shop/corner/
  4. Thanks for posting this up Sebastian. I like and you have PM
  5. ....and a nice Tom Glide mix of "My own Skin" here
  6. The imminent new album from Ty Causey "Cause and effect" sounds good to me and available from 1st May..samples of the tracks can be heard in Amazon if you search.
  7. Agree John. Fair play though to Truth and Soul records for putting out their 6 track forecast sample EP and dont know if anyone else picked this up but I'm personally enjoying the Lady Wray, Lee Fields and JR Thomas tracks this week. Great packaging and heavy 10" translucent green vinyl means it won't get lost too easily
  8. Jill Scott can sure still sing a bit!...here's her official video of the lovely deep and downbeat "you don't know" from last month.
  9. Really like Joyce Elaine Yuille's modern take on the Esther Phillips classic ..."Just say Goodbye" with some other great soul and jazz tracks on the album out now in MP3 and soon on vinyl with Schema records Italy. https://joyceelaineyuille.bandcamp.com/track/just-say-goodbye
  10. Cheers everyone for getting on board this last week...it's going well hey! Alan (ajb) reminded me a few days ago about the similar lonnnnng running thread that he started a few years ago on EMS and still going strong, very "upfront" and some great stuff on there I seem to have missed, as always Good to have something similar now running on here too I think. Anyway time flies as always and can't believe it's already been just over a year since the sad passing of Frankie Knuckles, so whilst not exactly "new" sounds, I'll certainly be ordering this imminent release, charity double cd comp covering much of his great work over the years...Defected presents House Masters Frankie Knuckles https://defected.com/news/house-masters-frankie-knuckles/
  11. Brilliant!..really enjoyed last years compilation, some class new soul and still listen to it
  12. ...here you go
  13. Tickets through and looking forward to 30th June! Thanks Roburt for the heads up on her new ep released this last few days. Here's the first track "Your good fortune"
  14. Cheers Mark...I think I actually prefer this one to the Al Kent mix from last year on BBE
  15. ....the next release from SouLutions is planned to be available from late May but you can pre-order now from their website, so let's keep the momentum going behind this superb British outfit and an LP not too far away either https://m.soulutionsofficial.co.uk/SouLutions-merchandise.html
  16. The Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings download release from January will be nice on the limited 45 for RSD.."Little boys with shiny toys"
  17. Last one from me today has been available on Download only since January and now on a limited 45 for Record Store Day, but guessing it will be on her next album...or maybe some left over from RSD hopefully. The ever wonderful Sharon Jones and the Dap-kings "Little boys with shiny toys". Is she talking about us and cd's?!
  18. Seeing as Mal has included recent release on the more jazz side of things, this whole cd kept me awake in the car lots last year with some great artists featured like Pete Simpson, N'Dea Davenport, Diviniti. Here's a taster of one of the tracks, great summer sound I think! generally love anything Kyoto Jazz Massive are involved with
  19. Hi Mal. I'm certainly partial to a dash of more jazz oriented sounds when the mood takes me and Ukvibe website is a brilliant for dipping in and out of what's new on that side with some great articles and interviews. Cheers for posting, now I know you'll have some decent new soul to add in here too
  20. ...thanks Roger "I don't do the flood thing" Williams This is killing my iPad each time I try and open the thread
  21. A good few months old now I know but this Rhonda Thomas track and her whole album is class soul...
  22. Looking forward to the new SouLutions release "All your love" expected this May and already available pre-order from their website and audio clip on there too, sounds good to me, one I'll be dancing to somewhere soon. Album to follow soon too https://m.soulutionsofficial.co.uk/Music-and-Videos.html
  23. Was it "You'd better believe"? Great albums, superb voice and pretty sure I have this somewhere from new back in 1994/5...so a proper "oldie" now and looks quite rare when I have a quick search on the web for any.
  24. Just thinking back to last year and being more interested in previously unreleased tracks, or at least anything that hasn't previously made it to vinyl before, is anyone out there aware of anything like a challenger to the absolutely superb Marvin Gaye 12 from last years RSD? That was and remains such a treat. Cheers, Steve
  25. Looking forward to this imminent album release, Aaron Parnell Brown, after he initially made available this track and couple others on download for a limited time late last year...not one for the dancers mind!
