  1. Same song, later version. Oh well, just thought Chalky or someone would have it in their collection from a Soul Bowl pack or something...
  2. I remember hearing "You Made Me Suffer" by ANDREW BROWN on Gilles Peterson a few years back. Think the label is BRAVE - pretty obscure. Just wondering if anyone round these parts has one, or would be prepared to part with a copy... or know anything about it. ...just done a google and found it's come out on a CD compilation. Still - a seven would be nice...
  3. I know I'm not the first to ask, but if anyone can help with: Little Jewel - It Doesn't Matter / I Want To (Tay-ster TS 6011) ...it would be much appreciated - issue or demo, doesn't matter... PMs please.

  5. Err, no - if you buy the UK copy from a few years ago, you'll have the 7" original of Chris Clark. Uh-oh, think I can feel a favourite thread coming on...
  6. It was unreleased... official release is on CD or recent UK 7" with Frank Wilson "Do I Love You" on the flip.
  7. Hmmm, I've got this - didn't realise it was that rare... And I also reckon MI version of Everything Man is superior. Just waiting for the "it's only people who don't own Daybreak who prefer it..." etc.
  8. Hi Tony Did the group end up recording in the UK? Always wondered how they ended up doing a cover of Daybreak's "Everything Man" on Power Exchange (flip of "Reggae Disco" 1977). Must have been pretty obscure, even then...
  9. Jazzman 45s ARE licensed - Honey & the Bees isn't a Jazzman release...
  10. Can I assume this LP is pretty rare, then?
  11. Aye, it helps that I now know what I'm looking for... Okay, can anyone help me with a copy of Johnny Sayles "Soul On Fire" LP???
  12. Been listening to a tape with "Tell Me Where I Stand" - was this originally on a Japanese 70s album? Can anyone help me with this? Or should I just buy the Soul City single and save myself a lot of grief??? Any PMs gratefully received...
  13. Or post it up here???
  14. Looking for THE SPOILERS "Sad Man's Land" b/w "Turbo Rock" (TURBO) Any help much appreciated... Contact me by PM please.

  20. I've just sent a box of 80 LPs by Parcelforce, which cost £12.65 - so I'm sure it won't be that bad...
  21. Rod, I was going to sit this argument out. BUT... Passive smoking WILL increase my chances of getting lung cancer and, frankly, that is unacceptable. I can't believe the law is only just catching up with this. If someone chooses to drink themselves to death, it's not going to give me schlerosis of the liver... I don't wish to sound self-centred, but these are facts. I can't believe that this board is made up of people who travel hundreds of miles to venues, stay up all night, spend most of their hard-won earnings on records. BUT when it comes to - are you prepared to step outside for five minutes to have a cigarette because it's the law... NO???? Mind you - when I first visited Dublin last year, the farting problem WAS quite apparent...
  22. I can't really imagine any of them going on to become collectable - they just look... what's the word? RUBBISH! Mind you, I'm not too keen on the look of the Grapevine 2000 series either...
  23. All of my 45s play at 33... I know a guy who makes tapes of records at the wrong speed - you ever tried listening to girl groups at 33? They all sound like male vocals, albeit with slightly gay subject material. Try it with The Angels "My Boyfriend's Back" - bit scary, really! "MY BOYFRIEND'S BACK AND YOU'RE GOING TO GET A BEATING..."
  24. REDUCED TO £25... Bargain!
