Just wait til Pete Shirley posts his list from that day, just superb. Overall it's nice to see the slower side of things making waves here and there, not only for home listening.

There are at least two pressings from the late 90s/early 00s, both easily distinguishable from the real deal.

Larry Clinton RED STOCK COPY ON EBAY
Exactly. When JM or Tim Brown give a description along the lines of "EX but plays ok", I'm always amused by the difference in grading standards/practice among some of the established dealers.

MARVA WHITNEY-YOUR LOVE WAS GOOD FOR ME -45-6202
The version in the YT clip above - King 6202 - is totally different to the Federal one, which was re-released as King 6124.

Larry Clinton RED STOCK COPY ON EBAY
Overpriced? Hard to blame the seller for auction prices achieved. Funkyou/Funkyousounds has done a good job building up a reputation as a reliable seller, with strict grading (a Funkyou VG is comparable to many UK sellers' VG++ or EX in my experience).

Most expensive "common" records
Yeah, £500+ for Willie Kendrick demo on JM auction, what's that about (even for JM standards)??
-
Most expensive "common" records
I see your point, of course those previously mentioned are not records you will find in a regular shop or thrift store. However, many of them do come up for sale all the time, and in good condition, maybe suggesting that those are the first records people sell when they need cash for something else, cos they will be easy to replace if needed?
-
Most expensive "common" records
Bobby Reed - The time is right + Charles Johnson - Never had a love are two that spring to mind.
