THIS GROUP STARTED OUT AS A TRIO IN JANUARY 1966 (MARVIN BEARD, ELBERT JONES AND JIMMY LOCKE). BY THE TIME THEY GOT THEIR SECOND CONTRACT IN APRIL, ELBERT HAD LEFT BUT THEN GAINED NEW MEMBERS ALVIN SYKES, WALTER PRIDE AND JAMES C BROWN. THEY FORMED AS A GROUP IN THE MARINE CORPS AND TOOK THEIR NAME FROM THE CORPS LATIN MOTTO, SEMPER FIDELIS (ALWAYS FAITHFUL). An excellent song by the Flirtations and a follow up to 'Nothing But A Heartache'. Love the walking dance! I've cleaned up the colours as the original film had faded over the years. I've also replaced the audio with the original stereo single to give the track the clarity it deserves. -
