I have a 'Mustard' Issue meself which is a very tasty alternative to the W/D but the B side isn't Funk.............from memory (not played it for yonks) it's a very disappointing mish-mash of a record that the Funk boys would probably laugh at! Apologies if I'm wrong on this as i said i hadn't played it for yonks! When i bought it i was SO hoping it'd be a brill 70's dancer, a brill deep cut or a brill Funk track BUT it was none of them! If it was a top B side it's be up there with the holy grail 45's imho cos it not easy to find at all! Hi Don That was summat i did for a very short while in the mid 70's.........................along with the stupidest thing ever, an 'X' on the top side! I soon realised this was a stupid thing to do though.............Thankfully, I could only afford pressings and cheap originals at the time, so I never defaced owt rare! I remember getting that lovely 'Green' label Ebonys from a Soul Pack and only sold it cos i replaced it with a 'Gold' issue. Don't think it had an 'X' on it though? I see you played it recently at soulgalore too? Fabulous record that still sounds great now! Cheers Steve

Dene/Gold isn't it? used to write for Delegation & other Brit groups, that's why I assumed it was the original and promptly pulled when Aretha & Jackie wanted to record it! I agree Whether you were around at the time of the early bootlegs or have only recently got into collecting, this is an essential guide Also, I've used it on occasions to 'prove' to someone that the £500 rarity that they want to sell is simply a £10 boot from the 70's! 'Sounds like an old record that should have been recorded by Betty Wright in the 70's! (Maybe it was?) Nice 70's style dancer with a 'Southern' feel!' Think I'll dig deeper and get some more info?
