Me too stevie Would love one of these too
  8. Hi Richard I will hopefully get tuned in for the show Jim
  9. Spot on Chalky, this is what nighters are all about Frantic, even messy at times, raw soul that if you weren't dancing to it when it got played at first by Butch, then you missed out on something very special indeed - and I don't just mean the actual record, I mean the atmosphere it created, the buzz it created, the mystique as you say Chalky - friggin brilliant to just "be at one with the record" for those few minutes, then BANG, butch would follow it with G Davis & R Tyler (Walter and the admirations) Amazing nighter records, and will never be equalled Only my opinion of coarse!!!
  10. Here here Tony Magical times indeed
  11. Hi Peter I haven't counted, but I bet if you looked there has been one for sale almost very day for the fast couple of weeks Might be a slight exaggeration, but it seems its not that rare anymore Has it been re-pressed I wonder? Jim
  12. Am I imagining things or are there more of these for sale at the moment than bloody Bettye Swan "Kiss My Love Goodbye"? I assume someone has turned up a load? Is so, why is it still so expensive? Just thought I'd ask?
  13. Sometimes things are just better when you are OYT! I suppose just part of the scene that was!
  14. have a rough copy that i would like to upgrade please PM with price and condition & PLEASE no silly prices or "make me an offer" thanks
  15. Will say one ting for JM, he sure knows how to drum up some excitement within his marketplace - fair play to him
  16. Thanks Richard Strange indeed, but interesting just the same Thanks for the scan Jim
  17. Hi andy, Seems that the 689 is very hard indeed At present the 219 mix sounds better to me, but probably because i am more used to it Would need to hear the 689 a few more times But indeed a great record, will need to pick up a decent one as the one i have is a bit rough Best Jim
  18. Brilliant Richard Many thanks Jim
  19. Many thanks Richard that's very helpful indeed Cheers Anyone got a sound clip from the 689 mix? Jim
  20. Hi all I have this on a pretty beat up copy with the "1065 / 219 mix" as its called I know this came out with another "mix" on the same label, but can't seem to find a sound lip on you tube as they are all the same as the one I have Can anyone help and give some info - is the other mix rarer?, was it withdrawn etc? Thanks Jim
  21. Must agree with you steve Don't know about a bargain as such on its own, but compared to some of the "overpriced good records" and the "overpriced crap" on SS, then it would be a bargain I do think its quite funny though when most of the sellers who are looking for that little too much when they post here, end up with multiple posts in the following days, offering them at more realistic prices Always better to "sell" at a realistic price quickly, than hold onto something at a "silly price for weeks and months" Good example of this is Pete S on here, he sells records at realistic prices and sells them quickly It's not rocket science!! Jim

Well said Julie I'm with Harry on this, from the ones that I knew, your records are/were priced fairly Better to sell them than have them price another £10 or £15 higher and not sell them Sorry to hear about your job, but from someone who is starting from scratch again in buying records, there are loads of stuff still out there that you can pick up when times are better Take care Jim
