  1. Sorry pete but with so many quality records of black origin I just don't see a place for records like this
  2. Elkie Brooks? Isn't this a soul site Holy f*ck what's going on here?
  3. Only my opinion of coarse, but is someone taking the piss here You can't be serious that this is fantastic? Pleasant at most - come on have another listen Fantastic? NOT My opinion only
  4. True Nev as i say, such is life (and collecting rare soul)
  5. Spot on Marc, and this is the whole problem with people paying a lot of cash for records Ah well such is life I suppose!!
  6. There you go stu Unplayed at 150, so I'm sure you will get one that's used for 100 Good pricing though pete Jim
  7. I would agree Dave - absolute tops if needed desperately But I am unsure if all these actually sell? Jim
  8. f*ck it, I'm sure I have a spare £20k upstairs somewhere Think ill put in a bid for that amount - that would really piss some people off Great record though, simply one of the best - but ALOT of candy!!!
  9. As one of the earlier post states, these used to be around all the time Seem them on here for between 150 and 200 - BUT, do they always sell? I certainly would not pay anywhere near 200 - it's just not that rare Sit tight, wait for one around 100, and make an offer They are on sale pretty regular But if you pay 200, you would need your arse severely kicked Only my opinion of course Jim
  10. Fcukin madness £900 for this - I could buy tons of better soul records for half this amount Fcukin madness
  11. Wasn't referring to you pete - your prices are fair It's the other muppets I'm referring to Sorry muppets if you are offended!!!! But get real!
  12. Your prices were fair dave, that's why you sold them I see people on SS selling the same records time and time again - reason - they are too fucking expensive - HELLO - wake up and smell the coffee Just because a £100 record is now £300 as its proved to be quite hard to get, it doesn't mean that an easy to get £10 is now worth £30!!!!! Get real record sellers - if you want to sell, price them correctly
  13. Melvin Davis £90???? Best of luck mark!
  14. Eh no links Gav??.
  15. Hey al Nice common cheap stuff again mate! Nice tunes, but Don't know the Davis Thomas Did you sell your Four Voices? Also, I shouldn't really ask, but what about a melvin Davis on groovesville? & ed cooper on nimrod? Best Jim
  16. Excellent rob, and yes most are deaf!
  17. Even I like this and remember it well from those days
  18. Grant It's a crappy poppy record and should not be in your box As I say I will take it off your hands though, just so you don't get embarrassed Jim
  19. I assume your kidding Pete?
  20. Brilliant record, but if it ain't working for you, I'll have it Jim
  21. Keith these seem fair, but others may not be Good luck with your business anyway Jim
  22. Holy F**K
  23. Pete I couldn't agree more- what planet do some of these dealers live on indeed I have been in sales for many years, and as you are well aware, you need constant revenue and profit to keep your product offering fresh - therefore sell at decent prices and you will achieve this Trying to sell at crazy prices will not achieve this Nd will simply force buyers to look elsewhere A good example is on the high street, Jessops, HMV etc etc - competition is tough and you need to react to combat this You clearly do this and are successful - others that done, will not survive Still cant believe you got £185 for Ernie and Ed though LOL - good example because if you had asked £300 for it, it would still be there Best Jim
  24. Pete I was only referring to Keith's prices that I seen on his last list From what I have seen of your recent lists, I think your prices are very fair, and that my friend is how you records! It's basic sales principle, you can price anything too high (cars, houses, records etc.), but there ain't no point if it doesn't sell Better to price fairly, sell the record, get the money in, and move on to buy others and so on As I see it, your years of experience clearly pays off as you shift your records and seem to have a great turnover, hence people look at your lists I actually don't look at many people's lists now as I know they will be the same as the last months - full of good records, but vastly overpriced Jim
