Wombat & Johnny Ross Pressing V Original
Hi All Help wanted As those that deal with me will know, always happy to hold my hands up if I make a mistake. Sold a copy of Wombat-Getting on life & Johnny Ross & The Soul Exsplosions-I can't help myself. The customer sent me a note saying both are bootlegs, i've said fine and offered full refund, plus both lots of postage. But still feel embarassed not knowing, so would like to add to my knowledge. Rarely worry about pressing as all our stock is purchased in the US from DJ's, label owners, artists etc and over the years I have tender not to buy pressings, but this has also left me with a slight weakness in this area, but I have always said 'No man can know everything'. Anyway can anyone put up a scan of both the pressing and original of both records, so I know in the future. Wombat, I always thought originals had a moulded edge and pressings a paper stuck on label, but I'm sure you can all let me know. Thanks in advance Dave

James Walsh Gypsy Band - Cuz It's You - Issue Or Demo?

Something 4 The Weekend-top Dog Records
Had several people ask about the Spooky track, this is not the UK group. This is a different Spooky. A group from Georgia, this is the only release on the label. The lablel name 'Thunder Thumbs', is slang for the fighter pilots of F1 jets. The lable address is Warner Robbins, an US Airforce Base, just out side Macon, Georgia. This track is a spacey boogie track from the 80's and has gain some interest on both the European and US boogie scene. The track would file under oddball/leftfield as you will hear if you listen to the sound file on my site. Dave

I think this was from the Quinvy tapes from a few back. I sure there was a thread about this a year or two ago. Just got a copy out of a DJ collection in the U.S., forgotten what a good tune this is, boy can Don sing.- 'sticking A Disco Beat Behind It'
A good example of that was Bob Jones re-mix of The Temptations-The Joneses, didn't change it, just added a nice harder edge to it.- Persuasions On Erica
