  2. Rotations,? Major Lance ?
  3. Dave, it looks like somebody put in a bid forgetting the way Tims auction works, what you bid you pay.
  4. Yes Mike it's definitely worth watching. You mentioned apple tv having some good shows, I've just finished Season 1 of Tehran, there's 2 seasons of it. Well recommended spy thriller that's partly subtitled, part dubbed and part English.
  5. This is one of them twofer's that's also dirt cheap, so if you think about it, it's more or less a free record. Simon would call this walking pace northern soul, pitch it up a couple of notches and then it's a brilliant midtempo dancer. If you're wondering what's on t'other side it's the wonderful "Do you believe".
  6. I like it Baz, on the hottest opening day of Wimbledon ever, you've posted Bad Weather Inc. I wish I'd thought of it.
  7. You say Billy's retired Mick, he doesn't look old enough. 👍
  8. Mick, it's worth mentioning Colin was partly responsible along with John Buckley for releasing the brilliant House Bros "Shake" that caused quite a stir on the dancefloor a couple of years ago. It's lovely that Billy Mailey's getting to use his Sunday name.
  9. Thanks Mike, we just watched this and really enjoyed it.
  10. Exactly mate. I think he was buzzing from selling some records to 3 Lancashire lads on a Saturday morning, 😜
  11. I remember RS taking me to Anglo American one Saturday morning, Tim's normally closed on Saturday but he opened up especially for his highness. This was before he started doing auctions, so if it was there it was for sale and Romona Collins was there with Dickies name on it. It was great being one of the in-crowd for a day.🤩 However there's one part of the day that seems a bit fuzzy, I seemed to remember Tim took us to the pub and bought us lunch after we'd spent a small fortune with him, but after getting to know him all of these years later, there's no way that can be true. He lives borderline Yorkshire.
  12. You're not wrong Baz, This is it making it's MARK at the Whitchurch allnighter with DJ MARK Speakman.
  13. This one from The Combo Kings, released in 2012, was part of a 6 singles box set of previously unreleased Arctic recordings. This is a bit special..
  14. Yes mate I remember it went down really well, hopefully it'll do the same at Culcheth.👍
  15. Here's one you don't hear out all that often and one I purchased off this months special guest dj Mr Tim Ashibende and very pleased I was to get it.
  16. Yes Baz the SAINTS was a great venue for playing modern/crossover soul mixed in with all the northern stuff, and many years later you're still at it promoting forward thinking venues. Please note the Bobby Rich ended up in the Leigh rare soul swap shop up in Mr Cunliffe's loft. Happy Birthday Ian🫶
  17. Just one more for today from the rare 70's soul variety, that's crossed over big time from the modern rooms.
  18. Here's another that can be found in the rare 70's section and this time it's one that Simon's been giving a lot of attention to lately, the wonderful Bobby Rich.
  19. Thinking about last months theme regarding mixing the best of the rare 70's and the 60's in the main room, this one would have fit right in. One of two 45's Matt Brown released on the Jar-Val label and this could be the one for the 5th July at Culcheth. Doesn't get any better than this.
  20. If it ain't any of the above why don't you PM the man himself, he'll certainly know what he played at the weekend.
  21. Here's the studio take for those who like this sort of thing, personally I love to hear the musicians being counted in. It goes on for a further 3 minutes at the end. Wonderful.
  22. If you find yourself thinking faster faster after dancing to the Jades "Hotter than fire" then try Eddie Jasper Daye, if you think you can handle it.
  23. Hear quality tunes like this one.
  24. And me.👌👍 Dept Q on Netflix is a good gritty Scottish crime drama, Well recommended.
