  3. I've an acre to play in here , all greenery of a multitude of types , so "endless" sums it up quite well and it'll be a great excuse to let things get a little unkempt for a while ...
  4. Well after much deliberation and research I've bitten the bullet macro lens-wise and just received a used , but perfect Laowa 100mm F/2.8 2X Ultra Macro APO and a Godox V350-C Flashgun to accompany it. If anyone needs me I shall be found on my hands and knees in the undergrowth hunting tiny critters ...
  5. My latest must-watch is "Ratched" a prequel series to "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" .
  6. https://www.heritagesouthholland.co.uk/article/bulb-fields-around-spalding/ https://www.spaldingflowerparade.org.uk/ I assume they started around the time the Fens were drained by Cornelius Vermuyden in the 1630s ... ?
  7. Never had the pleasure of seeing them in your part of the world but have seen similar if smaller displays around Spalding in the Fens in the past.
  8. Just had a first play with a pretty extreme macro set up using bits I had kicking about . An old 50mm f1.8 lens reverse mounted on a spare 75-300 zoom with a £4.00 adapter gets me in a little too close for general stuff but for the task I had in mind it'll do well. First go at Depth Stacking in Canon's DPP4 , 13 frames stacked of a Dandelion seed , uncropped ... 😄
  9. Neither ... ... but I could never bring myself to spend that kind of wedge on a record , it's more than I've spent on motors in 35 years ... altogether ...
  10. Well that's me out on the sidelines ...
  11. That sounds like the scene I recall , all that misinformation spread about at 3am by the wide-eyed 'experts' at all-niters ...
  12. Thankfully I don't recall hearing it anywhere until just now ... and of that I'm eternally grateful ... Now off to find something to erase the memory of ever hearing it at all ...
  13. There was a seriously emotional few minutes for me during Mr Darge's set . Over forty years had passed since this callow youth was on that very floor when I heard "Thrice" (Black Wings) for the first time and fell in love with that slab of R'n'B greatness. It was another fifteen-ish years before I managed to prise Dean Anderson's Take 1 acetate from his grasp at the 100 Club after months of pleading. And then on Easter Sunday everything came full circle after forty years and I don't mind admitting damn near reduced me to tears mid dance ... same DJ , same record , same floor , same me (albeit not so callow or youthful) and to top it off there was Dean Anderson on the stage alongside Colin Law who found the acetates at Tim Brown's and sold one to Dean that I still cherish. Wonderful moment I'll remember always ... P.S. Apologies to Mr Smith , once of this parish , for disappearing mid-sentence in true all-niter fashion upon hearing the opening bar ...
  14. Thought it had been written by ChatGPT ...
  15. He can't remember who he bought the record from , hence the original question ...
  16. Originally recorded by Dionne Warwick as a demo in '63 to be pedantic ...
  17. No items for sale and only joined today ... As I've said before the OP has had some way overpriced items listed himself of late so a bit "pot and kettle" if you ask me ...
  18. And me ... with a car full of likeminded degenerates ... 🤪
