That's what I meant Pete , if someone knows who did the selling then they ought to let folk know , if they got away with one copy who's to say they're not sitting on others to dribble out , can't believe that there has been just a few copies pressed ... surely the expense of doing a small number wouldn't warrant the work involved ... ?

And I'm presuming that someone out there knows where/who they came from , why not just name and shame them so that the unwary can avoid them in future ... ?

Well hopefully this thread and the one on the FB page will have provided enough info so that no-one else gets caught out by the wrong'uns , at least there's a fairly definitive guide to it now.

Well at least we'll have an archive of any markings there are on the boots ... And if Mr Massey or Mr Rimmer were to offer up runout pictures off originals then there would be a perfect reference that can be used by prospective buyers in future , and be included in any future publications by Mr Manship for example ...

If it was just a Soul scene promoters would be quids in , the venues could be downsized and in most cases events could be held in someones living room , plenty of comfy chairs to sit in whilst chewing the fat regarding matrix details etc , cheap booze requiring no license , nibbles on tap , no extortionate security costs ... and no need whatsoever for a dancefloor ... Oh hold on , that's all available without even needing to visit someone else's house , you can do all that on-line via SoulSource without even stepping out into the fresh air . For the rest of us it'll remain a blend of a Dance scene and Soul scene , requiring travelling and a dancefloor thank you very much ... ! And now I must shoot off for something to eat before a trip down to Braintree for this weekend's dose of All-night Soul and Dance , albeit not necessarily in that order ....

Bet the seller's spitting feathers now that the bidding's stopped so abruptly , I messaged him regarding the listing and his reply was pretty short , on the lines of "what do I know , I sell games not records" ... so no sympathy coming from this direction ...

No ... it's worth about £25.00 ... it sits at £144 because bidder "S***-" thought it was real and was about to snaffle the steal of the century ... now he's done a little research (or seen this thread) and got out before getting his fingers burnt ... leaving the other poor sap with the bill ...
