  9. Thankfully Robin tipped me off about the b-side , I thought it was no way as good , a bit too jazzy Then Rob started playing Jerry Bell and Bill Summers ... guess what Robins into now ..Hmmm Jazz ...Nice LOL .
  10. Yeah it was amazing with lots of uptempo played ( I'll pm a selection played in a while ) , However Andy Whitmore's Mrs had pictures of the 80's with her , Mullets , perms and pencil thin tash's at Modern soul nights , I could feel my cheeks burn with embarrassment .
  11. Well of course the other Ronnie Mac B side on Tortoise records "Good side of your love" A-side is the briliant " Different kind of love"
  12. LOL .. I was thinking that . Brighton was great for jazz at one point , some top latin sets there !!
  13. Soul Sams Modern sets around 1982 to 85 were brilliant ( thanks to the hard work of John A and Dave R of course ) and Robins, Stafford sets, around 1985 , although not many heard em ..
  14. They are around Tony .. they want soul music but cant afford vinyl originals Im sure they look after their mp3's and safely back them up with their Digi photographs , books and videos
  15. I think there will be a demand for limited runs of vinyl but they may cost a bit .. Your spot on about the ipod Pete , I agree .. Oh no I agreed with you again
  16. I used to say yes like Pete . but now in the main I say no , or send a 20kps clipped mp3 .. Then the mp3 collector will say I dont have the record and Ive hijacked the mp3
  17. You can watermark soundfiles .
  18. This may sound strange but today we have the mp3 soul collector , and they have been known to offer £20 and over for high quality soundfiles of soul records that are not on cd
  19. So Sean , youd have to go for a Southern Soul Disco Stomper maybe Latimore "Goodbye heartaches" Glades 1979 ?
  20. Yeah why did they do that ? The lables are sometimes destroyed too , on soulful reggae records ?
  21. I go right down to 20kps on here !
  22. As I said , Its horses for courses , 128 kps may be fine for you Pete
  23. Well of course Im talking about big systems , in clubs outside of the Northern scene . 128kps , is just not good enough. Horses for courses really , playing 128kps on earphones may be fine for most teenagers these days .
  24. Well mp3's from Itunes are quite low kps .. WAV's from beatport etc are very high quality and then theres some soundfiles inbetween that
