Rubin you've been away kapp demo
It clearly must have gone up as a quick trawl of SS suggests that you had a good idea of the price in June 2016 when you advertised it for sale @ £450. Perhaps the prices of Jock Mitchell 'Not A Chance In A Million' has also rocketed as it appears that you asked for prices on this twice in November 2016 and then again in February 2017...and it appears that you got responses. Similarly it also appears that you also asked about prices for Dean Parrish 'Bricks Broken Bottles and Sticks' in February and July of this year...again it appears that you got responses. I've asked for guidance in the past price-wise and have always been appreciative of the efforts that have been made by those that have responded...perhaps if I keep asking the price of tunes in my collection will eventually attain a price that I'm happy with. Given the above, and assuming that I haven't erred (which is entirely possible and if that is the case then I apologise unreservedly in advance), then I am inclined to agree with both Pumpkinseed and Benji.

Rubin you've been away kapp demo
I might be wrong (I often am according to the current wife), but it would appear that the same guy asked the same question on this site on 25th February this year and received a number of responses. Has the value of this record 'gone through the roof' in the last 6 months so as to justify raising the question again? Chris

Dee Dee Sharp - What Kind Of Lady - Rarer Demo
Hi Folks, I am led to believe that this 'playing card' type design is quite rare, especially for the demo. I can find hardly any evidence of prices for this particular variant so I'm taking a punt but will also be open to reasonable offers. I'd hope to achieve somewhere around the £150 mark. Condition is VG++ with a few hairlines and one small scratch that I've managed to capture in one of the photos. I am a really picky grader so I hope that you'll be pleased, but I provide a full money back guarantee should your and my grading be out of sync. I do have good, albeit limited, feedback so I hope that you can buy or contact me with confidence. P&P is extra, but if I get £150 I'll pay for Special Delivery. Payment on this occasion would need to be by bank transfer, cheque, concealed cash etc...sadly on this occasion PayPal is of no use to me. If you think my pricing is way out then drop me a note, but I've tried to be realistic given that this does appear to be quite rare in relation to the other variants of this record and therefore somewhat difficult to price. Thank you for looking. Chris

Two Rare Ones £600 Each (Allan Sisters & Vel-Vets Issues)
Hi Folks, A knackered boiler now forces the sale of a couple or rare ones that are in great shape! The Allan Sisters is in genuinely M-/NM and comes with a company sleeve. £600. The Vel-Vets is in EX condition with just a couple of minor hairlines and one very minor scuff (so minor I couldn't capture it in the photos), but other than that it's in tip-top shape. Plays great...no styrene hiss or wind-back hiss. Some very minor wear to the label (see photos). £600 I won't be able to consider trades and payment would need to be by bank transfer. I do have good, albeit limited, feedback on this site so I hope that you feel able to contact me with confidence. P&P, Special Delivery etc not included in price. Thank you for your interest. Kind regards Chris

Vel-Vets I Got To Find Me Somebody (Ex Issue!)
Hi Folks, Needs must I'm afraid... Grading is EX and there are a couple of hairlines and one very minor scuff (so minor I couldn't capture it in the photos), but other than that it's in tip-top shape. The a couple of the marks are only obvious to me when directly underneath a string light source. Plays great...no styrene hiss or wind-back hiss. Some very minor wear to the label (see photos). I have limited, but positive, feedback on this site in respect of my grading, but there's a full money-back guarantee if you're unhappy. I am a really picky sod when it comes to records, but I'd have no hesitation in buying this (if I hadn't already bought it that is). £700 ovno. Payment will need to be by bank transfer or cheque (I hold the record until funds are cleared). I'm afraid I cannot take PayPal this time. Many thanks for looking. Chris

Allan Sisters - I'm In With The Downtown Crowd
Hi Folks, It looks like I'll need to sell my Allan Sisters. Condition is genuinely M-/NM with company sleeve. It would appear that this is a rare record and if I do part with it it'll need to be for a good price. I've never done this before and instead of a set sale I'm going to offer to the highest offer I get. I have chosen this course of action as I have had wildly differing views on the value of this record and because of it's outstanding condition. I won't make any offers public as I don't really agree with that strategy. If you're interested just tell me what it's worth to you, though any offers will need to be in excess of £700 as that appears to be the lower end of the opinions I've been given. I won't be able to consider trades and payment would need to be by bank transfer. I do have good, albeit limited, feedback on this site so I hope that you feel able to contact me with confidence. Due to work commitments and access issues I will find it difficult to view or respond to any offers/questions until early next week. I might however be able to pick up emails so if you want to contact me other than by PM then you could try me on chris.penn@voweurope.com In light of the difficulties you might have in getting hold of me I will contact the person with the best offer a week today (Wednesday 12th July). Thank you for your interest. Kind regards Chris

Current Value Please? Allan Sisters - Downtown Crowd
Hi Pete Thank you for having a ferret on my behalf. As it happens I'd seen the post but it appears to be from 7 years ago, and given that prices appear to be in a constant state of flux (i.e. anything I want to buy shoots up in value and most things I sell seem to go in the opposite direction) I wasn't sure how reliable a guide that might be to today's price. Thank you for taking the time to do some digging though, it's genuinely appreciated. Chris

Current Value Please? Allan Sisters - Downtown Crowd
Thank you 'Tempest'. I have only known about the record for the last couple of years and didn't realise it was such a big spin quite a few years ago. Chris

Current Value Please? Allan Sisters - Downtown Crowd
Hi, I have a genuinely NM/M- copy of The Allan Sisters - I'm In With The Downtown Crowd that I'm considering parting with. Can anyone give me a realistic value that I might achieve either as a straight sale or as a trade-in / trade-against any 'wants'? If I do consider trades I'd be looking for a single 45 of similar value in similar condition with maybe a cash adjustment either way. It's not definite that I'll sell/trade but as funds are dwindling I may need to consider this to fund or obtain any major wants. Can anyone advise please? Thanks in advance. Chris

Tommy Navarro & The Dynamics
Hi Folks, 2 for sale as I have this week been mostly overspending and need to recoup some £. I'm sorry, but payment can only be accepted by bank transfer (preferred) or cheque (funds to clear before postage) on this occasion as PayPal won't help me. Money back guarantee if not satisfied with my grading - I have limited, but good feedback so please buy with confidence. Thanks for reading my ad - please PM me if you are interested. P&P via Special Delivery is extra at £7.50. Tommy Navarro - I Cried My Life Away - De Jac £300 (EX) Bell Sound stamped (see photos). Label is not faded, it would appear that the red print was not evenly applied at time of manufacture as there is no fading to the flip and no fading of the pale turquoise background. Vinyl is really nice both sides, with really minor hairlines that look to be resultant from being put in/taken out of sleeve. The Dynamics - I Need Your Love - RCA Demo (VG+/VG++) £275 I personally think this grades VG+ (though it was sold to me as VG++). Plays great, loud and clear - no issues whatsoever. Quite a few minor hairlines and fingernail type scratches (i.e. not gouges in the vinyl, but bit more like having brushed a fingernail across the vinyl to create a soft scratch rather than a sharp scratch...I'm explaining this really badly...sorry). More on flip side than on the I Need Your Love Side. Photos below to aid/assist. I'm no David Bailey, but I have tried to capture images that show then true condition of the records. Many thanks for your interest and for looking. Kind regards Chris

A Few Biggies & A Few Cheapies (inc Four Tracks)
Hi Folks, Thanks for taking a look. Needs must I’m afraid… I am a cautious grader. I’d rather you were pleasantly surprised at the conditions, not slightly disappointed. I have tried to be realistic with my prices, that being said if you think I’m a country mile away from a fair price then please let me know (but try not to take the you-know-what). Can’t take PP on this occasion I’m afraid. Bank transfer/cheque etc. Full £ back guarantee if not satisfied with my grading – I have limited sales feedback, but good feedback so please buy with confidence. Recorded delivery add £3.00, Special Delivery add £7.50 Four Tracks – Like My Love For You – Mandingo £800 Copies appear to have dried up of this still in-demand record. I’d rate at least VG++, still plenty of gloss, with a few small scuffs and a very small number of very light scratches, none of which affect play. Helen Shapiro – Stop & You Will Become Aware – Columbia £500 EX+/M- Beauty! Patti & The Emblems – It’s The Little Things – Congress Demo £200 VG+/VG++ with a number of small hairlines (I suspect from being taken out of/put back in the sleeve). Plays great! 125th Street Candy Store – Silent Heart – Fania £150 Nice copy – VG++ at least. Virgil Murray – I Still Care – Airtown - £75 VG++/EX Very in-demand and really nice condition. Al Apollo – I’m Walkin’ – Cub £80 Lovely copy, EX at least. Fats Domino – If You Don’t Know What Love Is – ABC Paramount £30 VG++/EX now enjoying a resurgence in plays. Slight label wear. Pookie Hudson – Jealous Heart – Double L (Demo) £30 VG+ (WOL on flip), plays spot on! Mighty Marvelows – Talkin’ Bout Ya, Baby – ABC £30 EX – lovely! Sam Butera – Rat Race – Dot £25 EX – lovely! Jerry Williams – What Do You Plan To Do About It – Calla £20 VG+, label wear but plays spot on!

[SOLD] Kurt Harris - Emperor Of My Baby's Heart
Hi Folks, Thanks for looking. At least VG+ copy for sale. I think some would grade this as EX. I would rather err on the side of caution even though I believe this would grade way better than VG+ and I'm not sure if SS gradings give me the option of VG++/EX-. Record has a few small, light scratches/scuffs (NAP) and fine marks from being in and out of a sleeve. Some evidence of 'greying'/wear to grooves. Plays great, still plenty of gloss. Nice clean labels. Money back guarantee if not satisfied...no dramas. £450. Can't accept PayPal on this occasion - sorry. Payment would need to be bank transfer/cheque etc. Thanks for looking.
